I really wanted to like this place and have been going for over a year now. Today I had my regular cleaning which lasted all of 22 minutes. Not only was the appointment rushed but the dental hygienist was obviously having a bad day. They called my name and she swiftly went to the back office and rushed to a door. I don’t need someone to wait and hold the door for me but it immediately felt like odd behavior. She then asked if I was having any pain and I articulated that I occasionally get pain in a certain area but cannot pinpoint the trigger. She kept pushing me to identify the trigger and was more annoyed when I couldn’t. We then began the cleaning which they were flying through. When I closed my mouth on the saliva ejector (air sucker) she told me never to do that because of some article she read which she “didn’t know if it was true.” She then ripped open a drawer and changed the top. I told her in all of my 40 years of going to a dentist I’ve never heard that. If that was the case, why not let me know in advance. She then took it out of my mouth and did the rest of the cleaning without the saliva ejector. When I asked to spit she got more annoyed, huffed and puffed, and then put my chair up hastily. Twice we had conversations about different tooth pastes when she basically insinuated they’re too expensive for me to maintain using. I asked her about a prescription toothpaste and she said they carry it but it’s $15 and she’ll just give me a sample of Sensodyne but to only apply it directly to the area experiencing pain because it’s expensive. I went on to tell her that’s the toothpaste I use on a daily basis anyway. Overall, I thought this place was good enough but no thank you…

Best experience ever!!! Today was my daughter’s last day for her Invisalign. The tech was so sweet, asking about my daughter’s band, Mona Freaka, listening to her music on Spotify and asking for a picture with her. Then Dr. Deans came in and was so sweet. She told my daughter what a great job she had done wearing her Invisalign and doing so well with the treatment. She also got a picture with my daughter. Her teeth look amazing and the whole staff was great, from the front counter to everyone working in the offices. Great experience all around. Thank you Dentist Office of the Hudson Valley.

My daughter and I both have been going to The Dentist Office for a decade. We always leave with squeaky, sparkling, clean teeth. Our hygienist Christina is WONDERFUL! She always makes our trip in enjoyable and very personable. Shes takes her time and explains everything she’s doing. So thankful for her!

I had my initial visit to establish as a new patient here today it was awesome! Dr. Kim was so nice, professional, and had great bedside manner. Judy was helpful and assisted me when I had questions about treatment planning and x-rays. So happy to be at this practice and look forward to receiving further care at this facility and the excellent front office staff as well!!

I am very disappointed with my experiences at this office. During a previous visit, I was charged for a brief, unsolicited consultation about braces that lasted less than a minute. During that same appointment, staff were dismissive and made inappropriate comments while I was having a tooth removed, including telling me I should “be calmer” because children handle the procedure better. I found this remark unprofessional and unnecessary. I returned recently only because, despite the fact that this office does not accept my insurance, they had the soonest available appointment when my filling fell out. Unfortunately, this visit was worse. I was seen by a different doctor who was immediately condescending and rude. He stated he would not provide any care without X-rays, despite me clearly explaining that I am currently a high-risk pregnant patient and was declining X-rays for that reason. Rather than discussing alternatives or showing any understanding, his tone was dismissive and unkind. I felt talked down to and disrespected, and ultimately left the office without receiving care. I understand that dentists have policies and clinical standards, but professionalism, empathy, and respectful communication should never be optional — especially when dealing with patients in pain or with medical considerations. I would not recommend this practice based on my experiences.
