Nobody likes going to the dentist but going here is not a bad experience the staff is great and really listens to you when you tell them what hurts. So glad I found this place keep up the great work

I have been going to Dr. Main for over ten years and you cannot get a better dentist. She is professional and personable! Her staff are amazing and the new office is beautiful! Thank you to everyone there as you are the BEST!

Des Moines Family Dentistry is a family-oriented dental office located at 2301 Ingersoll Avenue, Suite 102, in the Soll building on the north side of Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa. Led by Dr. Jenny Main, the practice cares for patients of all ages from the Des Moines metro and surrounding communities. For patients dealing with missing or damaged teeth, the office's services include dental implants, crowns and bridges, and both full and partial dentures, alongside everyday care such as cleanings and exams, tooth-colored fillings, root canals, extractions, teeth whitening, and custom mouth guards.
The office moved into its current Ingersoll Avenue location, where two-hour parking is available on either side of Ingersoll directly in front of the office and in a gated lot behind the building just off 23rd Street. The team is intentionally small, with Dr. Main supported by two registered dental hygienists, a registered dental assistant, and a front office coordinator who helps patients work through dental benefits and insurance claims. The office keeps weekday hours and is open every other Friday and Monday to accommodate more schedules, and patients considering dental implants can start with a consultation to learn whether they have the bone support and healthy gums needed for an implant.
Meet the Doctors
Des Moines Family Dentistry is led by Dr. Jenny Main, the only dentist listed on the practice's website. Dr. Main grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa, earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Iowa, and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2006. She has practiced dentistry in both private practice and public health settings. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Iowa Dental Association, serves on the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Alumni Board, and is a member of the Seattle Study Club in Des Moines. She describes her goal as treating every patient like family.
