Beginning with my call to set up an appointment to the time I left the office, my experience with Dr. Wulff and his entire staff was excellent. Everyone was personable, attentive and paid great attention to detail. They asked the right questions and made sure they understood my reasons for coming. They also made sure I understood their reasoning for their questions. I highly recommend Distinctive Dental.

My recent experience with Distinctive Dental Care was fantastic as prior visits have always been. Although this visit was a little different in a good way. I was treated by a professional happy humming hygienist that seemed to thoroughly enjoy her job. Thank you Kim for making me feel comfortable and relaxed during my regular dental work. You're the best!

Thankful I could be seen today! The dentist explained everything that was happening as he worked on my tooth. Very impressed with the latest equipment the office uses. I was given a mini tour to see how the crown would be made😊👍👍 Am hoping my insurance will help with the expenses, am just pleased that the ordeal is done!!

Beware. This is not the same practice that Dr. Wullf built. What used to feel like a culture of care now feels very much like a culture of cash grabbing. I went in for a tooth check on one of the fillings they had performed that had fallen out. The new dentist took one look at the X-ray and said, “I don’t feel like dealing with that,” and referred me out for a root canal. I’m used to being referred out for root canals, but the young woman who had prepped the X-rays said that this new doctor was so amazing because he could do root canals in office. Now that I think of it, he never addressed that their filling had failed…or offered to make it right. The visit was short. Insurance was billed for the visit + X-rays, which they paid. I know this because insurance sent me the confirmation and because when I went to get the root canal, I had a bigger out of pocket liability because of what Distinctive Dental had been paid out of my annual allotment. To be clear, the specialist they referred me to was excellent. I wish they could do the entire process. The experience with Distinctive Dental has been less than excellent and incredibly frustrating. Not only did they not do a good job of explaining the care plan and cost (by the time this is done, we are talking close to $5k for a single tooth, not including the work they had done before that failed)…but their focus seems to be more about squeezing out every possible drop of revenue and not what’s in the best interest of their patient. We’ve recently been in communication about next steps on this tooth, which needs an additional $1,200 -$1,600 of work from the Distinctive team to finish the work their specialist started. That’s the out of pocket estimate, not including the portion insurance has confirmed they will pay. We have had multiple phone calls trying to coordinate scheduling (which is more on me and my demanding schedule than them). Not once have they brought up a balance on the account. Since insurance paid, I didn’t think there was any balance to discuss. Which is why I was caught off guard when a creditor reached out about my balance. A creditor. Not the office. They are claiming an additional $500 is owed. When I ask for what, no one can provide an answer. Again, they were paid for the initial appointment…they referred out the canal…I haven’t been back yet for the crown. How could there be a balance? I’m gonna guess this is a clerical issue, which happens. But to not communicate directly with me? That’s not the culture Dr. Wulff created. Had they communicated, I would have addressed it with them by reminding them of the payout they already received. When I couple my experience with the fact that they have lost many of their long-time staff, the ones who made the place feel trustworthy and cared for…I come to the conclusion that this place simply is not what it used to be. So, if you are looking for dental care beware that this place will look for every penny they can squeeze out of you. If their work fails, they won’t address it, they will just craft a plan that maximizes revenue. If your insurance pays but their billing record wasn’t updated…they won’t audit their paper trail , they will simply send you off to a creditor. They don’t keep their good staff because the culture is no longer focused on care…it’s all about upselling. While they used to have my highest recommendation, they’ve lost it.

Great experience today on my scheduled cleaning & follow up work. Denise filled in for an absent co worker, was efficient & informative. Glad to have found Distinctive Dental since moving to Prescott.
