I have so much to say about Dr. Field and his team that I am kind of at a loss of where to begin. I believe the overall health and well-being of an individual has a lot to with the health of their teeth so I don't trust just anyone with these precious white culinary tools in my mouth. I want to keep them as long as I can and I know Dr. Field would even find the latest methods in the event I no longer have a tooth, like my implant a few years ago. I have been so blessed to be recommended to Dothan Dental Center, Alabama by the VA dentist five years back. I have had so many dentists in the military. Some very good, some scary negligent. Dr. Field is among the very good dentists and has been my all time favorite. I have been extremely happy with the dental care and personalized treatment I receive there.
Dr. Benjamin Field and his team of professional dental assistants, dental hygienists, secretaries and staff have been a Godsend. (I want to name each of them and I know most names but I am afraid I will leave some out). They go out of their way to be helpful and make me feel calm, safe and comfortable during the many different procedures and cleanings I have received. The most recent visit was an emergency a few days ago. I broke a tooth the night before and couldn't eat or drink. I called the next morning and the nice lady at the front desk told me to come up to the office immediately. I left right then and got on the phone with the VA for authorization. When I got there, they all were so amazingly patient with me as I was trying to call the VA for authorization. Not one inkling of frustration by that staff. Just so positive. Anyone with knowledge about the VA knows there needs to be an abundance of patience required to get a hold of them and even more persistence to get them to act. I was on the phone with the VA for the entire hour it took me to get to Dothan Dental and my cell phone was running low. The front desk staff offered me their own phone power cord so I could complete the call. I was on the phone for an additional 2 hours after that, just to get a prior authorization to a referral that had already been approved but sitting on a desk in Montgomery somewhere waiting to pair me with the same dentist I have been going to for years now. Dr. Field and his staff were so patient, so kind and incredibly understanding. I ultimately did get the referral number from the VA and I was able to get my tooth fixed. I literally felt like I was surrounded by a coordinated effort of angels that day, and that was the staff and professionals at Dothan Dental. Thank you so much for being wonderful human beings and showing me that the care and service for the patient is not only something that happened in the bygone era.

Finally found a dentist down here in Dothan! If you know ME, you know I don鈥檛 PLAY BOUT MY TEEEEEEEEFFFF!!! Lol! I had theeee most amazing experience at this office! Madalyn (Hygienist) and Dr Fields were absolutely AMAZING! Very informative, kind and personable! All of the front office staff were super kind as well! 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!馃挴馃挴馃挴

I highly recommend Dr. Field for any of your dentistry needs! The office staff is very nice and courteous. The dental hygienist was very thorough and did a great job!

I have known Benji since he was in kindergarten. He and Rob, my son, have both worked very hard and are successful dentists. Rob lives in Florence and sometimes it's inconvenient to go there. Benji is DEFINITELY my local dentist. (trusted, pleasant, efficient , knowledgeable)

The dental hygienist was excellent. She did an awesome job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Field was professional and friendly. His communication and explanations with me were very clear. By the end of my appointment, i felt that I well taken care for. Thank you so much.

Dothan Dental Center, the practice of Dr. Benjamin J. Field, DMD, is located at 501 Healthwest Drive in Dothan, Alabama, and describes itself as serving generations of Dothan and Wiregrass region residents with knowledgeable, friendly and caring dentistry. The office provides full-service general, cosmetic, implant and restorative dentistry, including new patient exams, cleanings and gum disease treatment, children's dentistry, teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental bonding, Six Month Smiles, porcelain crowns and bridges, dentures and full-mouth rehabilitation. The practice notes that it does not accept Medicaid and is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Meet the Doctors
Dr. Benjamin J. Field, DMD, is a Dothan native who earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 2004 after graduating from Huntington College. He joined the long-established practice of Dr. Hanahan, who has since retired, and took it over. Upon graduation he received the Teledyne Best of the Best Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics and the Best of the Best Award for the top dental student in the United States for excellence in prosthodontics, the branch of dentistry focused on designing and crafting replacement teeth. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in cosmetic, implant and complex restorative dentistry and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
