I had a great experience with Dr. Mattox for my dental implant. He is a highly skilled surgeon who made the entire process quick and mostly painless. It’s clear he’s an expert in his field despite being a younger doctor. The facility looks great and very up to date with the latest technology. I felt very comfortable in his care!

Dr. Mattox removed my teenage son’s wisdom teeth yesterday. Great modern office and staff - very efficient and caring. Everything went smoothly and he is recovering nicely with minimal swelling and pain. Very clear postop instructions he is following to the letter. He called today (Saturday) to check on him. All in all a great experience - highly recommend.

So glad I chose this place. I am very impressed with my service. Dexter and his team were amazing, friendly, very professional and clean. I felt very comfortable with them! The healing process was so easy. I’m nearly pain free after having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled at the same time. I cannot thank yall enough!

Dr. Dexter Mattox, DMD, MD, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the founder of Innova Dental Implant Institute. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his dental degree from the Dental College of Georgia, where he was selected as the MCG Foundation Scholar for the Class of 2016. He then completed a dual-degree residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, earning his medical doctorate, completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency, and finishing a one-year general surgery internship, with training at University Hospitals, the Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, and the Louis Stokes VA Hospital. Before opening his own practice, he worked at Coastal Oral Surgery in Saint Simons Island and Saint Marys, Georgia, Southeastern Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Savannah, and Nuvia Implant Centers in Columbus, Ohio. His clinical interests include surgical treatment planning using 3D modeling and complex dental implant rehabilitation.
