The clinic looks _professional and focuses on implants/sedation_. Perfect for people who are scared of the dentist because they offer "sleep dentistry" options. The vibe is calm, clean, and the equipment is adequate. It just needs a decor upgrade + tidier cables to make it even better.

Truly thoughtful and careful. Dealt with my emergency dental issue so quickly and carefully. He is an excellent communicator and appreciative of his keeping me aware as he took care of my tough situation. Very sensitive care which I am totally thankful.

I was a patient of Dr. Lue for about 10 years. He placed a couple of dental implants for me and was my regular dentist for twice-yearly visits. However, after one implant was placed, the pain never completely went away. The implant was always loose and, at one point, the crown actually fell out. I made an appointment to see Dr. Lue and brought the tooth with me. He dropped it on the floor, sprayed it with something, rinsed it under water, and then put it back into my mouth. Over the years, I repeatedly complained about pain and problems with that implant. I was told it was my fault for not wearing a bite guard that would have cost hundreds of dollars, along with ongoing adjustment appointments. My husband and I eventually decided to seek a second opinion. Although I changed dentists, the pain continued. Last week, my current dentist examined the implant and told me it appeared to be failing and needed to be evaluated by an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon discovered a massive infection that had destroyed so much bone that there was only a paper-thin barrier left between the infection and my sinus cavity. The infection was so severe that both implants on that side had to be removed. I underwent surgery to remove the infection, clean out the diseased bone, and have bone grafting material and a membrane placed in an attempt to rebuild the area. Even after all of that, there is no guarantee I will ever be able to have implants placed on that side again. Dr. Lue is a nice man, but in my opinion, he cut corners and failed to properly address ongoing problems that I repeatedly brought to his attention. As a result, I have suffered years of pain, extensive bone loss, major surgery, and potentially permanent damage.

I just had 4 teeth removed and I'm beginning my journey with a denture on my top teeth. I’m young and this has been really nerve wracking.I had sedation that day and it went so smoothly. I don’t even remember going to sleep! Dr. Liu is an awesome dentist, he was so nice and made me laugh before the procedure and even sent a reply text to my husband for me. I’m thankful for him and the staff for helping me get through this experience.

The practice describes itself as a ZAGA Center provider for these advanced cases.

Sedation is the other half of the practice's name, and the website says it offers nitrous oxide (laughing gas) as well as oral and intravenous (IV) sedation for patients who feel anxious, have a strong gag reflex, or need extensive work. Beyond implants, the office provides general, preventive, and cosmetic dentistry, crowns and bridges, dentures and partials, smile design, pinhole gum grafting, teeth grinding relief, and treatment for jaw joint (TMJ) pain. Technology listed on the site includes three-dimensional cone beam imaging, digital x-rays, intraoral cameras, laser dentistry, in-house milling, and three-dimensional printing. Meet the Doctors

The practice is led by its owner, Edward Liu, D.D.S., who earned his doctorate of dental surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2000 before opening his private practice in Holt. According to the practice website, he completed dental implant training at the Misch Institute and holds Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, which the site says made him the 407th dentist in the United States and Canada to earn that credential. In 2010 he received the Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry after completing more than 1,600 hours of continuing education. The site notes his particular focus on sedation dentistry and complex full-arch, zygomatic, and pterygoid implant treatment, and states that he is a certified ZAGA Center provider for southern Michigan.
