Have been treating with Dr. Munn for over a decade. She came highly recommended by a dear and respected friend who worked in the dental sector for decades. Did not hesitate to call the office and make the switch from my previous long-term periodontist. Met Dr.Munn and immediately felt that she is genuine and authentic, qualities that are not always evident with health care professionals. Always completely confident in her ability to treat areas of concern whether conservatively or aggressively as she is a great communicator and explains her reasoning. Dr. Munn is a true professional as is her entire team. Pleased beyond words!!

This was my first visit to Dr. Munn’s office. The procedure was having a tooth pulled and post inserted for a implant. Very professional and personable experience with both staff and Dr. Munn. The procedure was explained very well, step-by-step. This made it a relaxed, uncomfortable experience. Recommended highly.

I have been seeing Dr. Munn over the last 15 years. She is an outstanding professional, keeps up-to-date, her technique is impeccable, and she is pleasant and available if problems do arise. She performed four dental implants 15 years ago; I’ve had no problems despite the fact that I was grinding my teeth and now wear a mouth guard. I just saw her for a gum graft. I never worry in her capable hands. The staff is pleasant and efficient in dealing with any insurance issues. I highly recommend her for periodontal and implant care.

Went for a consultation and was not happy with their service. They completed a CBCT scan without informing me first that I would need to pay out of pocket for it ($325.00). This was the biggest issue for me but there were others. I would not recommend based on the experience I had.

About Dr. Katharine Munn
Katharine Munn, DDS is a periodontal practice with offices in Worcester and Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The Worcester office is located at 255 Park Avenue, Suite 700. The practice focuses on periodontics, the branch of dentistry that treats the gums and the bone supporting the teeth, and its services include dental implants, bone grafting, gum grafting, crown lengthening, osseous surgery, guided bone and tissue regeneration, cosmetic periodontal surgery, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance. The practice also serves patients from nearby communities such as Shrewsbury, Auburn, Millbury, West Boylston, Holden, Leominster, Lunenburg, Westminster, Gardner, and Townsend.
For patients missing one or more teeth, the practice describes dental implants as titanium roots that bond with the jawbone to create a strong foundation for replacement teeth. Dr. Munn performs the implant surgery, any initial tooth extractions, and bone grafting when needed, and works together with the patient's own restorative dentist, who makes the final crown or prosthesis. The website notes that she is able to place single stage implants, which do not require a second procedure to uncover them, and that in some situations an implant can be placed at the same time as the tooth extraction. The practice also offers implant supported overdentures and bone grafting procedures such as ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation, and socket preservation. Its stated mission is to help patients live healthier lives in a caring, nurturing environment where comfort and health come first.
