I have to say this is the most pleasant dental experience i have ever had of my adult life. The staff are very kind and polite, always willing to answer your questions. Whilst the Doctor himself is genuinely the nicest dentist i have ever met. He is polite and understanding, even if he sees that there is lots of work to be done he does not judge you. He is patient and is willing to answer your questions honestly and do the work to make sure that you are not in pain. I hope to return to him as my regular dentist if spots are available. I can't say enough good things about this man, his staff, and his practice. Thank you again!

AMAZING!!!! I was so stressed out and Dr Stephen Madsen was kind enough to see me free of charge and give me tremendous advice on what to do with SEVEN different teeth! I’m a handful and he had every answer! He is a kind and wonderful soul! I feel so cared for that I am looking to switch insurances so I can be in-network with them! If not, I hope to go to them in the future and am willing to pay out of pocket for their care because I appreciate them so much! Trust me, private practices r a different world from company dental practices!!
Also, shoutout to the whole staff!! They answer the phone so fast and Alicia helped quickly schedule my emergency for the next day and Dr. Stephen and her even offered enough time for an emergency procedure in case it came to it!! I asked for a quote with them, using Aetna PPO insurance and they were kind enough to do that to give me peace of mind! (I did not have out network coverage, however, so always do a predetermination or call your insurance first before any payment(s) and procedures).
Not all places r kind enough to go through the trouble of running quotes with you on the spot! I believe it only took around 15 minutes to run it with my three-page treatment plan, then I was on my way to compare my options. They were all so diligent, efficient, and informed with my circumstances, needs, and requests! I had many hypothetical questions and major insurance questions as I am new to adult dental insurance (differs from medical). Thank you Dr. Stephen, Alicia, Shannan, and Bridgett!!! People like you make Chico feel like home!

It’s always coming to Dr. Madsen’s Dental office. They are all efficient and friendly in his office. The hygienist Shannon did a great job cleaning my teeth. Then Dr. Madsen did a thorough check of my teeth. I got different kinds of samples also like soft toothbrush, floss, toothpaste and mouthwash. Thank you Dr. Madsen!

Great experience at Stephen Madsen DMD. They got me in quickly, were straightforward and professional, and made the visit comfortable and not intimidating at all — especially as a first-time patient after a long gap from the dentist.
The staff was friendly, efficient, and easy to work with. I’d definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a dentist who keeps things simple and stress-free.

Always right on time, super friendly staff, and very thorough. Dr. Madsen’s father was our family dentist for decades and Stephen has stepped right into the practice and made a few updates which I appreciate.
