I had a wonderful experience today with Dr. Blue and his entire staff during my periodontal surgery. From the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, comforting, reassuring, and attentive. The staff made special efforts to ensure I was comfortable, prepared, and fully understood what was happening throughout the procedure, which helped ease my nerves tremendously.
The procedure itself was much quicker than I expected. Dr. Blue did an amazing job helping keep my mind off the surgery by telling stories while he worked, and both he and his assistant even played fun trivia games with the music on the radio, which made the whole experience feel surprisingly relaxed and enjoyable.
I truly felt that I received exceptional care. Even more impressive, it has been over 12 hours since the procedure, and the Novocaine is still lasting and I’ve experienced very little pain. I’m extremely grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and skill of Dr. Blue and his team. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing periodontal care.

My endodontist sent me to Dr. Blue for an opinion on a tooth implant vs root canal. Dr. Blue & his team reviewed my xrays and talked with me at length by phone about treatment options and the pros and cons of each. Although I ultimately decided not to do the implant (Dr. Blue's specialty) I felt I received a very thorough and balanced consultation. It helped me make the best decision in my case. And Dr. Blue's team made it clear I could come and discuss in person if I preferred, but the phone consult saved me a 45 minute drive (one way) and having to take off work. Making consultations flexible for patients is an extra service and much appreciated.

I have been a patient of Dr Blue’s for several years, and would like to take a moment to highlight some of the attributes that make me grateful to have him in my corner!!!! **He is knowledgeable, talented and straightforward. **He answers all my questions and addresses any concerns I have. ** He’s down to earth. Keeps it “real”. **He communicates well with my general dentist. ** His staff are professional, personable, respectful and sympathetic. **In all my years of appointments, he has only ran late ONCE! And that was because of a patient emergency. **He plays great music!….I recommend Dr Blue 100%, and can’t imagine how my oral health journey would have gone, had it not been for him and all those in his office who have helped along the way.

Know before you go! Dr. Blue and his staff is the most unprofessional practice of any kind I've ever visited.
After losing two implants and a bridge, I was referred to Mark Blue through my dentist. My call was not returned after two days. When I called back the receptionist claimed she didn't get my voicemail. The receptionist was less than customer service oriented and had an arrogant, abrasive tone.
She asked me if I was married which I found offensive as it would be considered profiling and not necessary to my care.
When I showed up a month later for my appointment, his assistant said I didn't answer all the questions on the form. Passive aggressively she replied, " the questions are all self explanatory ". I didn't feel my entire medical history pertinent since I was referred for the implant. At this point, I experienced an abrasive receptionist and a passive aggressive assistant. But that's not all! Dr. Blue apparently is too busy to read the referral and asked me what I want. He examined the post and suggested my dentist could build a partial attaching to the one remaining post. Dr. Blue did not examine where the one implant fell out, remaining gum tissue or any of my other teeth and gums. He was clearly distracted and I told him I didn't understand why I even came to see him. He was angered, he has short impulse control saying he was sorry I wasn't happy and walked out of the room in a little tantrum. I got up, went to the front to pay for this incredibly poor service. Another assistant had been notified of the incident between us and showed up at the front for no reason. She looked angry and interjected where she shouldn't have. Mark Blue's office is a toxic environment and practice.
I can't think of a worse interaction I've had in a professional setting.
I'd give a ZERO, rating for the whole practice, and a toddler tantrum rating for the doctor. Save your money, find a good Periodontist with a professional staff.

Thank you Dr. Blue and staff for always taking such good care of me.You have always been so caring and gentle and patient with me. Even when I sat in your chair and cried because I had to loose a tooth. You and your staff were kind and understanding. Waited patiently until I was ready.I appreciate you and all your staff. Professional and friendly. Explaining my options, the procedure and the cost. You have all made me feel comfortable and confident that I am receiving the best care. Thank you for being my doctor. The practice notes that dental implants are considered an option for people in good general and oral health who have lost one or more teeth due to cavities, periodontal disease, injury, or a fractured tooth.
Patients considering implants can expect to be treated on an individual basis, with time set aside to help them understand their options and make informed choices about their care. The practice also emphasizes ongoing communication with referring dentists so that implant treatment and any needed periodontal care are coordinated as part of a patient's overall dental health plan.
Meet the Doctors
Dr. Mark Blue has been practicing periodontics in the Four Corners area since February of 2002. The practice is limited to periodontics, including the surgical placement of dental implants, tissue grafting, and related procedures. Patients are seen individually so the team can review symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options before moving forward with care. The practice also works closely with referring dentists to plan implant and periodontal treatment as part of a patient's broader dental care.
