This is by far the best dentist office i have ever seen! Every aspect of the experience is on point! I have oral cancer and these folks treated me great and gave me the best wisdom teeth removal possible before my cancer surgery. My last wisdom tooth extraction i had at a different dentist was horrible! But Dr Gauger redeemed my faith in dentistry! Perfect job and appropriate meds. The staff is beyond friendly and welcoming and the entire machine is really dialed in. Much respect and love to these fine people! Highly recommended!

My experience with Dr.Gauger and his team was extremely pleasant! He extracted a badly cracked tooth that I neglected for a long period of time. He explained the process throughly and was quickly available to take care of me. His staff was first class. As someone who hates anything to do with oral work he made the entire process very comfortable and easy! He even personally followed up with me to make sure I was taken care of to the best of their abilities! I will be recommending his office for anyone in need of the services he provides!

Incredible oral surgeon and staff. I recently had a badly cracked tooth that was extremely painful and they got me in ASAP to evaluate. The check in was easy and front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. The assistant who took me back to the room stayed with me the whole time and was extremely empathetic. She knew I was nervous and chatted with me the entire visit... she figured out I was interested in cooking so we bantered about recipes. Dr. Gauger is not pushy at all... he truly cares about giving treatment options. He reviewed my case and I felt empowered to make my own decision about removing my tooth. I wasn't able to have a driver so had the tooth removed with nitrous. What a piece of cake. His local anesthetic placement was very gentle. Minimal pokes and profound anesthesia! Dr. Gauger has a soothing voice and will talk you through the procedure. Amazing bedside manner! I felt ZERO pain during the procedure and it was QUICK!
I drove from out of town to receive my care at this office because I trust Dr. Gauger. We went to dental school together and I know he graduated at the top of his class. He went on to do his surgical residency at UW and I did one extra year of hospital based residency as well so I was able to see his surgical skill first hand. I knew this is where I wanted to be for my own care! When you are a provider in the field you pick the best possible care for yourself to ensure you have the best possible outcome. A good outcome doesn't just come from a good surgeon.....it is a TEAM effort and this truly is an A+ team!

Came for our first appointment for wisdom teeth removal. Our appt. was scheduled for 3pm. They called us back at 3:40pm. If I would have shown up 40 min late, you better believe they would have not seen me and charged me a no show fee.
* UPDATE AFTER OFFICE RESPONSE- I was told the appt was at 3pm when I booked. Since your office does not do any reminder calls or texts (as every other medical service we interact with does which would have resolved this appt. time issue), I went with what we were told initially, which was 3pm. In the original review, I didn't even mention that my daughter said 2 different women working at your office were rude to her, but since you are saying this was a "flippant" review, I will add in that information as well. Looking at previous reviews, this seems to be an ongoing problem. I think it's interesting that you are more concerned about how my review impacts your overall score than addressing the issue. I think your response shows what kind of office you run much more than anything I could have said. I looked at your response to any negative reviews and you are extremely rude, unprofessional, and throw a tantrum if someone says something negative; it's almost funny. We will be canceling our procedure and asking our referring dentist, who is fantastic, for a referral to a different oral surgeon. There are plenty of oral surgeons out there who are on time and not hostile or juvenile. Be professional.

I had wisdom teeth removal done here, great staff and providers! Everything was timely and easy and I felt so taken care of! I cannot recommend enough!

Peter D. Gauger, DDS is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the practice's current doctor. He is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a distinction he earned in 2015 at age 30, one of the youngest in the specialty's history. Dr. Gauger serves as an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington, where he has taught residents and students since 2013, and he holds hospital appointments at St. Joseph Medical Center and Tacoma General / Mary Bridge Hospital in Tacoma.
