1-Star Review
I went in for pain related to one wisdom tooth and left feeling dismissed and unsafe.
Dr. Nguyen immediately pushed to remove five teeth at once, despite only one being symptomatic. When I asked reasonable questions, he became sarcastic and dismissive.
He initially came across as cheerful and energetic, but the humor quickly turned snappy, sarcastic, and condescending when I asked about consent and options.
When I asked about sedation, he referenced my body size in a judgmental, non-clinical way. He then said “follow me,” walked me out to the lobby, and left me there without explanation. An assistant later told me I would need to reschedule, after I had already driven far, spent money, and rearranged my schedule while dealing with ongoing pain.
He also raised personal medical questions in front of his assistant, framing it as a staff safety concern, which felt assumptive and stigmatizing.
Medical information was discussed openly, questions were met with condescension, and the office felt rushed and chaotic. I went in hoping to find a safe, respectful oral surgeon, but instead found an experience that felt dismissive and unsafe. I trusted my instincts and walked away.

Takes Quest insurance, and seems to take emergency patients. I got lucky and someone canceled the same day I woke up in so much pain I couldn't think straight and needed a tooth pulled asap. They were behind because of an emergency patient that came in, but I didn't mind. He was quick and well practiced at his trade and got me out of there quickly once the emergency patient was done. He was funny- kept talking to keep me focused on him and not the big, scary tools he was using 😅

Dr. Nguyen stayed late so I could have an appointment quickly. He took a full x-ray and determined that I needed to have three teeth instead of one tooth pulled. He is a great oral surgeon and I really appreciate him.

Horrific & Trauma induced! He should NOT be allowed to practice!!
I was referred to Dr. Terry Nguyen to have my 14 year old daughter's bottom wisdom teeth
removed on 4/14/22, when he saw the x-ray, he suggested the top 2 wisdom teeth were ready
for removal & suggested he can extract them. I told him the insurance would only cover the
bottom two as it was referred & another dentist stated they didn't have to be removed for
another couple of years. He stated, "No, they will cover & I've been doing this for over 20
years" I said okay. it makes sense to remove all at once.
He injected the anesthesia onto the top of the mouth, when he injected her bottom left, my
daughter screamed in pain! He immediately said, " YOU DON'T HAVE TO SCREAM, WHY
YOU SCREAMING?". My daughter told him, because it hurts. He stated it doesn't hurt with
an Attitude, it's just you. Proceeded to say, If you feel pain just raise your left arm don't
scream. I stopped him & told him not to talk to my daughter in that manner. She's only 14 &
was nervous. He should be more patient & understanding.
At this point, my daughter & I became more anxious. He immediately stopped & sent for his
assistant to get the office manager in the room. He proceeded with the cut on the upper
mouth, pressing & pushing with the metal tools against her other teeth & my daughter
grunted in pain & raised her hand. She told him he was pressing against the other teeth
forcefully & that it was painful. He said it's going to hurt because he didn't numb that area
of the tooth. I told him, she shouldn't be feeling this type of pain, & not to proceed. I'd rather
have her sedated with the IV. So, they rescheduled her for a week later.
I tried to cancel the upcoming appointment once I came home the same day, but the office
was closed. Called on 4/18/22 to cancel & explain this terrible experience with the office
manager Angela Escobar. All she did was defend Dr. Terry Nguyen saying my daughter gave a
thumbs up that she was okay. However; she was not! They can say whatever, but, I was
there with her. That is why…I told him to STOP.
Once we left the office, & got into the car. My daughter was extremely traumatized with the
pain he induced, his attitude towards her. She was afraid & did not want to see him again.
He made this experience for her horrible. My daughter became extremely sick the next day
4/15/22 with a high fever fluctuating from 99-102 for the next 3 days. On 4/16/22 her throat
became sore. Became worst on 4/17 to the present day 4/18/22. She missed school today.
I will have my daughter checked by our dentist to see if he caused damage to any of her top
back teeth.
My daughter became ill due to this traumatic experience with Dr. Terry Nguyen. He will be reported.

Highly recommend visiting him. Im very nervous when it comes to any dental visits, very nice staff and nurses that take care of you. I pulled all 4 wisdoms out and it was done in less than 10 minutes, no pain or discomfort. Doc was very nice and comforting. Great overall visits!
