Dr. James MacDowell, D.D.S. is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the founder of Elevated Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles and his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and a general surgery internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego, where he served as Department Head of Dental Clinics and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is affiliated with Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
