I was so impressed with my first visit here this week. I had the pleasure to have my teeth cleaned by the hygienist Sylva. The most thorough dental cleaning I've had in all my years. She was extremely polite, very knowledgeable and patient. All the staff were welcoming and professional. Thank you for a wonderful visit.

If you enjoy being cancelled on when you're already in the dentist's chair then this is the place for you. Ahead of my appointment (which was booked in Aug. for Dec. and then rescheduled by the office for Feb. '26), I called to confirm we would have enough time to complete four fillings I was told I needed. I was assured there would be sufficient time. I arrived on time. 15 min later I was called in. I was instructed to walk myself through the maze of dentist's chairs in the back to find the chair I was supposed to be in and sat waiting. When the dentist came in, I asked him why my fillings keep needing to be redone. He examined my mouth briefly and stated that I had two cavities - not four, despite having prepaid for four fillings. He then applied the topical anesthetic. His hand with the needle was by my lip, ready to plunge in. I politely asked for one moment because I wasn't numb. In my experience at this office, there is usually a very brief (30 sec - 1min) wait to allow the topical anesthetic to take effect. The request was acknowledged: "no problem!" and I was left to wonder where everyone went for twenty minutes. Finally, a receptionist arrived behind my exam chair to inform me that I would need to reschedule. When I asked why she said, "because you're taking longer to get numb.” I explained myself. She promptly refunded me and promised a follow up call from the office manager to express my concerns, which never came. My appointment was at 3:15 and I left at 4:15 with absolutely no work completed. My PTO and time wasted. Dental visits can already be stressful for many patients. To be dismissed without treatment or legitimate explanation (presumably overbooking) after I took the time confirm scheduling and ensure adequate appointment length is ridiculous. I hope the office reviews its scheduling and patient care procedures to prevent these unnecessarily stressful situations for others in the future.

Ellinwood Dental has such a warm, welcoming environment, and the staff are unbelievably friendly. They take the time to walk you through every procedure beforehand and explain everything so clearly, which makes the whole experience stress-free. I honestly couldn’t recommend a better dentist!

The visit went very well as far as my dental cleaning. My only complaint is that I was made to complete the same paperwork that I completed 6 months ago which is several pages long. This information could easily be updated which is the practice at other providers’ office I go to.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Dental Office – Highly Recommended! I recently started going to this dental office after my previous dentist retired and recommended them, and I couldn’t be more grateful! From the moment I walked in, everyone I encountered was genuinely nice—you can really tell they care about their patients. The entire team is incredibly professional and efficient, making each visit smooth and stress-free. I was especially impressed by the very wide range of services they offer—it’s great knowing I can get everything I need in one place, from cleanings to more advanced procedures. A fun and thoughtful touch is the TVs on the ceiling, which make treatments so much more comfortable and relaxing. It’s such a simple idea, but it really makes a difference when you’re in the chair. I’ve been fortunate over the years to have had some very good dentists, and I was nervous about finding a new one. But I can confidently say this office has exceeded my expectations—they’ve made the transition seamless, and I’m so happy with the care I’ve received so far. If you’re looking for a dental office that’s friendly, professional, and truly goes above and beyond, I highly recommend giving them a try! As I continue my visits with them I will update my review if need be.
