Dr Wipf is thorough, honest and spends a lot of time with his patients addressing every issue and concern. His staff is also excellent- I think I had the most extensive tooth cleaning I’ve ever had yesterday. Jennifer at the front desk is also incredibly friendly and helpful. I was referred to Dr Wipf by a friend. I’m coming from a dental office that recently changed ownership and at every 6 month checkup I was told I had at least three new fillings that I urgently needed drilled. One tooth they cracked during one of these routine drillings so then I needed a crown and ultimately a root canal. I feel confident this funny business does not happen at Dr Wipf’s office. In a rapidly changing healthcare landscape, I feel I can trust this group.

Dr Erik, Mary Lou, Jennifer and the rest of the staff are all wonderful, and they have been for many years!! Everyone is professional, accommodating and extremely friendly!!
I 100% trust Dr Eric’s insight, knowledge and direction. He runs his practice with absolute integrity, always guiding with what is BEST FOR THE PATIENT.

Dr. Eric did a great job on a HUGE job with my father. My father was afraid of dentists and avoided doing anything with and for his teeth for too many years. Now he insists on seeing only Dr. Erik Wipf, so we really appreciate his skill, patience, and attention to detail. Also the front of house staff, led by Jennifer, are really helpful and supportive.

Dr. Maria and her staff were extremely friendly and helpful. She was the least intrusive dentist I’ve ever had and was extremely aware of potential pain and discomfort while working on my teeth. She was extremely professional but also very friendly making the experience an A+. Would highly recommend. (Also the comfiest dentist chair I’ve ever experienced)

About Erik S. Wipf DDS
The Office of Dr. Wipf and Dr. Aiello is a family owned dental practice at 1819 State Street, Suite C in Santa Barbara, California. The practice was founded in 1968 by Dr. Vaughn Wipf and has served the Santa Barbara community for more than 55 years. His son, Dr. Erik Wipf, joined the office in 1996 and purchased the practice in 2000, and it has since grown to six treatment rooms. Care covers the whole family, including preventive checkups and cleanings, fillings and crowns, cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening, veneers, same visit ceramic crowns made in the office with CEREC technology, gum treatments, emergency visits, and dentistry for patients with special needs.
For patients considering dental implants, the office both places and restores implants. Dr. Erik Wipf completed surgical implant placement programs at the University of California, Los Angeles and Loma Linda University in 2003 and 2004, so many patients can have an implant placed and the final tooth completed by the same team instead of being referred elsewhere for surgery. Dr. Wipf is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and treats obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy, and the practice offers care for jaw joint problems. He practices alongside Dr. Maria Aiello, and together they serve patients throughout the Santa Barbara area.
Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by Dr. Erik S. Wipf, DDS, and Dr. Maria Aiello, DDS. Dr. Wipf graduated in 1996 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry with honors from the department of endodontics, later completed surgical implant placement programs at the University of California, Los Angeles and Loma Linda University, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Aiello earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her dental degree from the University of Southern California, where she also completed a master's degree in Global Medicine, and she has volunteered on dental service trips to Ecuador, Panama, and the Philippines.
