Family 1st Dental of South Sioux City is a general and family dental office at 3220 Plaza Drive in South Sioux City, Nebraska. The office is part of the Family 1st Dental community of practices across Nebraska and Iowa, and its stated goal is to deliver the best in dental care using the most current technologies and materials. The practice welcomes new patients of all ages, including children, and offers a wide range of services: comprehensive exams and cleanings, CEREC same-day crowns, cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, dental implants, Invisalign clear aligners, laser-assisted dentistry, teeth whitening, TMJ (jaw joint) treatment, sleep therapy, and emergency dental care.
For patients missing one or more teeth, the practice describes dental implants as permanent, stable tooth replacements that are easy to clean, help maintain bone health, and look realistic. The process involves placing a small titanium post in the jawbone, allowing it to heal and fuse with the bone, and then fitting a final restoration, which may be a crown, bridge, complete denture, or partial denture depending on the patient's needs. To help with costs, the office lists the Smiles 1st Benefit Plan membership, along with Cherry, CareCredit, and iCreditWorks financing, and provides LanguageLine interpreting for patients who need language assistance. Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm.
The South Sioux City office is served by Dr. Doug Barr, DDS, a graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry, and Dr. Aaron Fuehrer, DDS, a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry.
