Visit Five Gables (named for the gables on this historic building) to experience an all digital dentist office. They even accept Apple Pay through their "Square" point of sale machine.

This has been my dentist since I moved to Santa Cruz 9 years ago. I simply cannot say enough good things about them. The office is so clean and comfortable, Kelly at the front desk is so kind and patiently answers all questions, everyone on their team is skilled and very gentle. There has recently been a change of ownership and the new doctor Dr. Refaee is great. He is fast and through. This practice has cured me of my prior dental exam anxiety, it sounds silly but I look forward to going in. I called them this morning due to having a cracked filling fall out while flossing last night. They got me in to see the dentist immediately, my tooth was all fixed before noon. I always leave with a smile feeling so well taken care of. I truly love Five Gables. Thank you for the excellent care.

I’ve been a patient here for a couple of years and am and so happy with the care I’ve received. I’m a nervous dental patient and everyone in the office has been wonderful and put me at ease; both Dr Ansarinia and Dr Refaee have lovely bedside manners and are very gentle.

OMG! I came to this dentist because I was having excruciating dental pain due to a crown that had not been shaped properly at my former provider. I was literally BAWLING the night before and needed to go to ER because of how bad the pain was. I called Five Gables the next morning, and by a stroke of luck, they squeezed me in same-day. They reshaped the crown for me, and I kid you not, I feel SO MUCH BETTER AFTER 3 DAYS! I'm so mad I didn't come here sooner! I dont wanna unalive myself anymore! They're the nicest people I've met since moving to Santa Cruz a few months ago. I'm very happy with my experience and have now encouraged my partner to become a regular patient with them too!!! Five Gables Family Dentistry is a general and cosmetic dental office at 500 Mission Street in Santa Cruz, California, serving patients from Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Soquel, Scotts Valley and Felton. Family dentists Dr. David Refaee and Dr. Kathy Ansarinia practice a full scope of general and cosmetic dentistry, with services ranging from porcelain veneers to dental implants, crowns and bridges. Meet the Doctors

The practice is led by Dr. David A. Refaee, DDS, MAGD and Dr. Kathy Ansarinia, DDS. Dr. Refaee earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and also holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Texas. He holds Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry and Fellowship status in both the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society and Monterey Bay Dental Society. Dr. Ansarinia earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, along with a Bachelor of Science in Oral Biology from UCSF and a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from San Francisco State University. She taught dental students for several years at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, has extensive training in orthodontics for adults and children including invisible braces, and is a member of the International Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society and Monterey Bay Dental Society.
