Dr Janisse is the best dentist I have ever been treated by. He is the very rare dentist that has a laser powerful enough to clean decayed teeth. His work is meticulous and thorough. He makes sure it is done right no matter how long it takes. He's honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend his services.

I love this place. Dr. Janisse and the staff are super awesome, friendly, patient, and up front about everything. They always do their best to make sure I know what they’re doing and why, and they’re quick to help if I have any questions. Got my wisdom teeth out here with no complications and they fixed my tongue tie with very minimal pain :•)

I have very sensitive teeth and it can be a painful process, but they were patient and gentle. They managed my pain and made it a pleasant visit. I brought my special needs child for a cleaning. Cece was gentle and explained each step of the process to her. I appreciate them including her in the process.

EDIT as of 01/13/2025 -- Well, looks like the hygienist that I liked so much ended up shedding some light to the AZ board of Dentistry on Dr Janisse & some of his practices. They have parted ways now, and his license has been 'temporarily' suspended.
I stand by most of what I said in regards to their work(or at least the very nice hygienist), in relation to me. Although there were various struggles along the way that I now realize I was being too easy on.
The main issue with this practice is really poor billing practices. They will give you a quote with the 'estimated cost', and then when you go to do the actual work, it will likely come back to be more than what was originally estimated. When your insurance company sends you the final statement and agreed upon billing terms for this practice that is supposed to be in network, they will make excuses as to why it doesnt match up. Something along the lines of how complicated it all is and how many different billing #'s there are for different insurances and procedures. When I asked Dr. Janisse about it in person, he vehemently stated that "I do not do billing!" and refered me to the ladies up front. (Most of which quit throughout this 4 month process of me attempting to get $$$ back that was owed to me.) Eventually, after going through 3 different office ladies, and pestering them once a week for 3-4 months, they finally squared things up and gave me back about 65% of what I was truly owed, claiming that there were also unexpected lab fees that they had missed.
The following week I was sent a bill for more charges...
So again I went by the practice, and saw the posting on the front of the door by the AZ board of dentistry stating that his license had been 'temporarily' revoked. To my surprise, they were still open, but the only person there was Dr. Janisse. This time, he quickly and cheerily got up from his back office and asked me what he could do for me. I told him about the bill. Again to my surprise, he was able to actually access the billing portal, opposite of what he had firmly stated before, that he does not do billing. (Which was obviously an excuse, it is HIS practice, and he should at the very least be familiar with the billing issues and things that are going on, if not take an active and continuous interest in them.) He cleared the bill, stating that it was just an error and that I can ignore it after I reminded him that just the month prior he had issued me a refund for a couple hundred dollars, and I had done no work since then.
So, overall, yeah, he's a nice dude, but a nightmare to deal with on the business end of things.
Just figured I would offer my honest perspective as someone who has been a patient of theirs for the past 6-7 years, but is no longer.
I will still leave my original review below though.
Great Dentist and team!! Love my hygienist and how thorough she and Dr. Janisse are on every visit. They will both take time to answer any questions as necessary both addressing concerns as well as clarifying any confusion you may have related to anything dental. I have learned quite a bit about my teeth over the years of coming here! They have the latest technology in dentistry and are very knowledgeable.

I was a little skeptical walking in, there was no one at the front desk to welcome me. The wait time was reasonable. The office had nice furniture and wall art. The exam room seemed a little dated and the equipment was dusty. The laptop needed to be plugged in, the X-ray equipment wasn’t available yet, and it just felt like they weren’t prepared for my visit. The first person to lead me back didn’t introduce themselves. I was honestly wondering if I had made a mistake in choosing this dentist. Later, during the X-rays, I was bumped in the face with the machine...that actually happened! But in the end I liked Dr. Janisse and he was very helpful in explaining my treatment. The treatment cost seems very reasonable. They were able to schedule my next cleaning and filling on the same day.
This was my 1st visit to any dentist in over a year so I maybe my expectations were higher than they should’ve been.
