This is the best dental office! We have gone there for over 10 years and Dr. Howes and his team of hygienists are wonderful. They are consistent, professional, flexible and GENTLE! If you are looking for an office that makes you feel like you're in a small town clinic but with all the services of the metro, this is your place.
When we first went, I had not been to the dentist in years and they did not judge and were not shameful of anything. They cleaned my teeth, gave me practical tips and actually taught me how to floss the tough spots so I left feeling much more in charge of my mouth!
They are not pushy and do not try to "add-on" or sell any services (although I have purchased the opalessence whitening trays from them and they work great).
Bonus points that my hygienist has been there a long time and she is lovely to talk to!

Crystal, my hygienist, is very attentive to detail, very knowledgeable, and always cheerful. In the thirty-some odd years of being a client at Fort Des Moines Dental, I have had excellent care. Dr. Howes is easygoing, personable, and an astute dentist. The gals at the front desk are always happy to greet people and take an interest in your care. I would go to no other dental clinic than this one.

I saw Dr. Buech today on a consult about my TMJ and my complex medical journey to find out what has been wrong and ways I can proceed to restore my bite. I am not one of her patients and I was given care and attention as if I were. She was kind and listened and offered several suggestions that helped me to clarify my pathway forward.

Dr. Howes has a great team here, and is a great dentist! Camille is the BEST dental hygienist, and I actually really enjoy my cleanings! The ladies at the front desk are very friendly too!
