Just a top notch Team.
Start with the free consultation. Dr. Tharp sat and discussed what the best options, orally and financial were for me at that time. He listened to my thoughts and concerns.
On the day of my procedure I felt comfortable right away. When you are having teeth removed and replaced, it can be a scary and intimidating experience to go through. But Dr, Tharp and his wonderful staff put you at ease right away. They work great together and as a team.
I have already recommended them to co-workers and family. This is a 3rd generation practice with years of experience , and all of the staff is exceptional!!

I found Dr. Tharp after doing a lot of research on dental implants and which option would be best for me. He was the first dentist who didn鈥檛 immediately suggest pulling all of my teeth no good dentist would recommend removing healthy teeth, and that really stood out to me.
From the start, he truly listened to what I wanted. His bedside manner is excellent, and he made me feel comfortable every step of the way. On the day of my procedure I was nervous, but Dr. Tharp and his staff put me at ease. He explained each step as he went, which helped calm my nerves and made the entire experience so much better.
My journey isn鈥檛 over yet as I鈥檓 still waiting for my permanent crowns, but I can confidently say I would absolutely recommend Dr. Tharp and his team. They are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and make you feel genuinely cared for throughout the entire process.

I recently visited Dr Tharp for the very first time. I found his office and work areas extemely clean and well kept. After all my xrays, photos and measurements Dr Tharp performed an extensive examination. He then explained to me in detail what my options were as well as what I could expect in results. I look very much forward to his performing my dental needs. A very knowledgeable Doctor.
Well here we are 6 months later. My ridge was placed and I鈥檓 back for my 6 month exam. Everything went perfect. All my implants integrated properly and my mind is clear of any negatives. Prior to Dr. Tharp I had actually gone through years of getting my implants. Thank God I was sent to him to correct everything. I am a senior citizen and I have been to many dentists in my lifetime. Not a single one can come close to Dr Tharp and his staff. They are remarkable!

Doc cares about his patients, and he truly strives for perfection with his work. He and his wonderful, compassionate team (a great sense of family amongst them, literally) has helped me tremendously with getting my implants and broken teeth fixed, so I now have a confident and beautiful smile back! They take the extra time and patience, etc to make sure you are okay, and comfortable while you are there being treated and if you have a dental emergency, they can squeeze you in (they did it for my husband during Covid after hours, and even let our hound dog come inside with me in the waiting room too, when I was expecting our daughter!) They are super professional but also caring and invested in their patients! Thank you Dr. Tharp and Aiste, and Renada!!

Dr. Tharp explained everything in great detail what was going on with the procedure before and during the the procedure. If you are in need of implants I highly recommend Dr Tharp. One more thing, I suggest you sharpen up on your knowledge of State Capitols because there will be a quiz. 馃榿

Frankfort Implant Dentistry is led by Dr. James Tharp, DDS, who received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Northwestern University and has practiced dentistry for over 35 years. According to the practice's website, he has completed courses through the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Academy, serves as President Elect of the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants, has completed the requirements for Mastership status with that organization, and is an evaluator for the Gordon Christensen Clinicians Report. He has also studied prosthodontics with Joe Massad at the Massad Institute and has taught dentistry for more than 25 years across seventeen states and three countries.
