I had an outstanding experience at Fredericksburg Family Dentistry, and I cannot recommend this office enough.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the receptionist, which immediately set the tone for the visit. Kevin, who took my X-rays, was professional, gentle, and reassuring. Amanda, the hygienist, was wonderful—thorough, kind, and made me feel completely at ease.
I especially want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Najafe. I came in with a wiggly implant that was done at another office and had been loose for years. Multiple dentists had looked at it and no one wanted to touch it—until today.
Dr. Najafe handled the situation with incredible professionalism, confidence, and care. He fixed it so well that I honestly wanted to cry. For the first time in years, I feel relief and hope.
Thank you, Dr. Najafe, and thank you to the entire staff for your expertise, compassion, and integrity. You truly gave me hope again. I will be recommending this office to everyone I know.

I can’t say enough about the staff at this business. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Kevin took me back for my appointment and made me feel comfortable during my cleaning and imaging. He was so friendly and helpful about everything. I can’t recommend this place enough.

I had a broken tooth in my front tooth and called in to see if they could help me. They said come in and they helped me out and set me up as fast as they could. The Dentist and staff handled the situation and had control very carefully. It was top notch service and care they displayed from the time I arrived to the completion of a temporary cap. Totally Satisfied and would Highly recommend them. Thanks to the Receptionist and the whole staff they saved my Hollidays with my family.

Friendly, personable staff who takes the time to answer questions and explain procedures and options clearly. Pain management has always been very good and every visit has been a positive experience. Highly recommend.

Meet the Doctors
The practice's dentists are Dr. Mazin Farah, DDS, and Dr. Hayat Najafe, DDS. Dr. Farah has practiced dentistry in the Dumfries and Fredericksburg area since 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Dental Science from Baghdad University School of Dentistry in 1986 and a master's degree in orthodontics in 1988, then graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1997. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Virginia Dental Association, and his goal is to create healthy smiles using his experience in both orthodontics and general dentistry. Dr. Najafe has practiced dentistry for more than 20 years and graduated with his master's degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2001. He has pursued advanced training in implant dentistry, including a dental implant MaxiCourse in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2005 and advanced training in soft and hard tissue grafting at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007. He regularly attends the American Academy of Implant Dentistry annual conference and is listed on the practice's site as an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Dentistry.
