I can't imagine going anywhere else for my dental needs. I recommend Freedom Dental in Crestview to anyone who cares about pain free quality dental care. The office is always filled with warm welcoming professionals. The hygienists are friendly and caring. Dr Pappas is kind highly skilled & patient. A very pain free dentist and pain free staff as well. I figure that I am a tough guy until you put a needle in my mouth. Thankfully these fine people put real work and care into not hurting you. The quality of the work is excellent and the lack of ouch is excellent.

Dr. Pappas is a native of the Emerald Coast who grew up in Fort Walton Beach, earned his bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Business Administration at Louisiana State University, and went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, graduating at the top of his class. Dr. Bowen joined the practice in June 2026 after retiring in 2023 as a Colonel from the United States Army following 21 years of service, during which he completed one-year and two-year advanced general dentistry residencies and directed the residency program at Fort Carson, Colorado. He is board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry and holds a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. The two doctors share a philosophy of conservative, high-quality dentistry and a commitment to treating every patient like family.
