Gem State Dental was such an amazing experience. Everyone there has such big smiles and friendly faces. All the people there genuinely care and want to make going to the dentist enjoyable!

The staff and Dr Berglund were so kind and helpful! Explaining everything so well . And how nice that upon leaving there were no charges due! In the past with my prior dentist , even though I had dental insurance, I ALWAYS had a hefty amount due at the end of the visit . Not here! I only wish I would have come here years ago .

My review is very delayed, mainly because I didn’t want to ruffle any feathers, but now that I’m having to get a root canal on the tooth Dr. Berglund “fixed”, and the amount of pain I’m currently in (and was in after his treatment) I feel I must share my experience. Back in 2023, I went to Dr. Berglund because he could do same-day crowns, and no one else in Moscow did at that time (that I could find). I needed 2 replacement crowns. After he finished, and the numbing wore off, I was in the most pain I’ve ever experienced with teeth. He did see me again that day and just advised that it could mean a root canal and said to try anti inflammatory meds along with Tylenol. So I did the meds for a couple weeks, felt better, and for me, it was water under the bridge. Fast forward to now. One of the crowns he put on, and particularly the filling he did below the crown failed. The dentist I now have (in Washington) showed me on the xray Dr. Berglund’s work on my tooth and how the filling he did was too close to my Nerve. I’m now scheduled to get a root canal and have been in tremendous pain. Dr. Berglund is a nice man. I don’t think he’s malicious or a mean person. But I do not trust his methods, or his practice. Be very cautious if you need major work done. From what I remember, he’s very green in his practice and does not have that much experience. I regret going here. $3000 for a band-aid treatment, and the most dental pain I’ve ever experienced then and now.

I could not have had a better experience for my first appointment. All of the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. I have never had such a pleasant experience at the dentist, and have already recommended Gem State Dental to friends!!

Let me be the first to say that I have avoided going to the Dentist for a very long time … do not like it! However, I have been having some dental issues and was referred to this office! The office is small and quaint and lovely right when you walk in! After getting checked in, I was brought back to start the exam and talk with the dentist. They immediately made me feel relaxed, I didn’t feel judged for my lack of dental care and was met with empathy and compassion right away. I feel so happy with my choice to choose this dentist office and look forward to upcoming appointments! Thank you for approaching a new patient relationship with that compassion instead of feelings of guilt. I no longer feel scared or nervous about going to this dentist office!!!
