I am SO GLAD I found this practice. The staff are incredible and every one I have worked with has been highly skilled, incredibly compassionate and very patient. From the moment patients walk in the door, staff are there to greet them and talk to them, help them check in and get them into an exam room within minutes. I have significant dental anxiety and need quite a few things done to my teeth and gums, and everyone here has taken the time to explain things thoroughly and move at a pace that is manageable for me, both emotionally and financially. And Dr. Szmigiel is by far the best dentist I have had, incredibly knowledgeable and informed on all the latest treatments and options, and also very kind and totally patient-centered. I want to give personal shout outs to Rhylee, Jensen and Crystal, who I have worked closest with so far, along with Dr. Szmigiel, as we are developing the most functional, affordable care plan for me. I am incredibly grateful and can't recommend them highly enough! I can also highly recommend the gum builder treatment! I have suffered with severe gum recession for many years, to the point that it has become a serious health concern, and I didn't think there would ever be a non-invasive, affordable treatment option. But Dr. Szmigiel specializes in a gum builder treatment that involves "injecting" small amounts of gum builder just below the surface of the gums (not full injections like a Novacaine shot). They are quick and painless. I received my treatment yesterday, and today, less than 24 hours afterward, I am already able to drink and eat both hot and cold foods with absolutely no pain, which is something I have not been able to do without significant pain in decades! I trusted that this treatment would help, but I did not expect it to be so effective so quickly or completely. I have zero sensitivity today. I am not aware of any other dentists, at least locally, who provide this treatment, which is still very new and cutting edge, so again, I highly recommend this practice for care that goes beyond the teeth and really considers the whole patient and their long term, holistic health needs. I had my first visit to Gentle Touch. The friendly way I was welcomed felt sincere. The intake was quick and efficient. I was guided to the treatment space. Everything looked clean, and the design of the place was warm and not intimidating. Emily Plumadore, the friendly hygienist, explained calmly what was going to happen. The taking of X-rays went fast (additionally, the equipment used was new and definitely seemed the latest). The cleaning was painless, with Emily regularly checking in on me to see that everything was OK. Dr. Maria Szmigiel, a warm and friendly professional, introduced herself. We talked about things just to get to know each other. What really stood out to me was that Dr. Szmigiel asked Emily, the hygienist, for her findings, thereby showing that she trusted Emily’s professional input. Following her examination, Dr. Szmigiel patiently shared her findings with me, outlining potential treatment options. I never felt that I was “pushed” to accept an expensive treatment, something I have experienced often with dentists. I felt that Dr. Szmigiel accepted and respected my “conservative” approach to treatment. Nevertheless, I place my trust in her when necessary. Upon check-out, I observed that the clinic's administrative system, including finances, demonstrated a focus on supporting the patient, not just the clinic. All in all: a very positive experience…and this for “going-to-the-DENTIST”!

Came here after my last dentist was doing a horrible job. The doctor was amazing and the staff were polite, friendly and very professional. I was constantly being updated about what was happening and why. Very pleased with all the work done for me!

I can't say enough good things about Gentle Touch Dentistry! From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and offered assistance checking in. The office is clean and comfortable, which really helps with any dental anxiety. The dentist was thorough, gentle, and explained everything clearly. I felt like I was in great hands. All I had to do was lay back and watch Netflix with my headphones on. My teeth have never felt cleaner, and I actually look forward to my next visit.

Dr. Szmigiel and the staff are very nice. No anxiety when at my appointments. They are all very personable and aim to please. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who may have a fear of dentists or high anxiety of making an appointment with a dentist.
