I was sent as a referral from my dentist to see Dr Grande for a wisdom tooth extraction. First off, the office is beautiful, clean and modern. The staff from the front desk, to everyone in the back was very kind and helpful. Dr Grande on my appointment took the time to listen to my issues, and completed a through exam. I ended up needing two wisdom teeth extracted. The surgery and recovery went flawlessly, zero issues outside of expected post surgical mild pain. I am grateful for Dr Grande and all of his staff. Highly recommend!!

First of all, the front desk is great. That right there tells you how a practice is when you first come in and talk to them. I have to say that Karly at this office was so sweet and also so fun to talk to. She went through everything with me regarding insurance and charges thoroughly. I liked the Doc a bunch also. He read my ex-ray and knew what needed to happen. He explained everything very well. I've decided to go with them for my tooth implant. Not the best situation to be in but they made it seem better.

Had a nightmare experience with Dr. Bankhead. I have what may be permanent complications and am still in chronic pain since the procedure, but he outright accused me of lying about the pain I was in and refused to acknowledge the symptoms. I guess calling a patient a liar is an easy way to not have to follow up on your bad work. Full story to the best of my memory below. I had 4 teeth extracted in November and was told it would be a 3 day recovery or so with the worst pain in the first two days. After my surgery, I was in 10/10 pain with an embolism in my jaw. The medicine prescribed was not effective, so I asked for something stronger. (The first one was not a drug that ever worked for me, either, but thats a whole other thing). The next day, my pain had hardly come down and my face was still numb. Even the stronger medicine wasn't doing enough and I was told to double the dosage. Then on the day after that, a Sunday, when I called for a refill and to discuss my recovery since there were clearly complications by now, Dr. Bankhead ignored all of my symptoms (literally didn't say a word while the wind blew into his phone) and went directly to accusing me of lying for pain meds once I was done. Again, this was on a Sunday where I had no options other than the ER. I was floored and started to panic, realizing this was my new state of being for the forseeable future. My husband called to try and reason with him and he was willing to listen to my husband. He wouldn't discuss my symptoms with me, but with my husband, it was fine and he allowed me one more prescription. Because of this, I decided that I wouldn't see him again without my husband present. We went in the next day, Monday first thing in the morning, where Dr. Bankhead took a look at my mouth and said everything looked fine, but complained that I didn't open my jaw enough... because I was still in debilitating pain that felt like a double ear infection and stiffness all the way down to my shoulder blades. He acted like I was faking. My chin was also still numb. He said "it's mild, I'm sure it'll go away at some point" and dismissed the numbness. Which never went away, by the way. When it came to the pain, he dug his heels in. Instead of listening to me describe my symptoms, he tried to REFUTE them. I told him cold water caused what felt like a lightning strike through my skull and he smugly retorted "THAT'S not supposed to happen". Then dropped it. If that's not supposed to happen, shouldn't he be alarmed? Again, I was absolutely stunned. He did nothing but try and catch me in lies when I wasn't lying. It was actually egregious. He DID acknowledge that my amount of pain was abnormal, but in the context of not believing that it was real. His exact words were "It was a textbook surgery, so..." and shrugged. He and his assistant stonewalled us until we left. My husband was missing a lot of work and there was no end in sight, so I got a second opinion, still in tons of pain, unable to eat properly, and getting sick from how long this was going on. The second doctor asked me if I had been under anesthesia, to which I said yes. He explained that, sometimes when people opt to go under, surgeons can get "overzealous" with how wide they open your mouth. He concluded that my facial muscles had been badly injured and it had likely caused TMJ on top of that, causing me unbearable pain on top of the injuries. He had me take a muscle relaxer before bed and my pain the next day had gone from unbearable to almost normal. It proved that Dr. Bankhead had indeed opened my mouth far, far too wide and left me with injuries. So why could he not do what the second opinion did? I felt as if he was annoyed by the fact that I hadn't just "gone away". I was booked for a surgery and the surgery was done, so anything beyond that was bothering him and he'd swat me away until I just silently suffered. I'm now facing a $500 mouthguard to deal with the TMJ and can't play my flute anymore because of the nerve damage to my chin. "It was a textbook surgery, so..." not his problem.

I couldn’t say more about how great this office is. They’ve been so patient with my son, who has an extreme fear of needles. They helped navigate the disaster the insurance was for me. They are helpful, polite, and very caring. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in town (although I’m hoping I won’t need their services again after this second surgery…)

I have a severely autistic son and finding a special needs, dentist has been extremely challenging. A friend referred, Dr. Grande and from the time I called his office, I was extremely impressed. I spoke with Karly at the front desk and she was so positive, caring and informative. She helped me navigate through his insurance. I was so anxious about the appointment because I know my son can be very difficult due to his autism. Karly kept in touch with me and alleviated my fears. When we arrived for the appointment I was completely amazed. My son was fearful and loud. His behavior did not startle them. They were calm and reassuring. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend Dr. grande and his staff for not only special needs patients but for anyone needing oral surgery. Dr Grande and is staff are phenomenal. Thank you, Ramona Loutos
