I really appreciated Dr Stringer calling to check on her. Definitely will recommend this office.

Had to take my sister there to get 6 teeth pulled at once and she's someone who runs and needs to be held down for a finger poke so I expected it to be difficult, well I was so wrong and couldn't believe how well they handled her. It was a breeze, in and out. No problems. They asked me how she would react and how she felt before I got the chance to even tell them that shes probably going to be difficult, their ways of handling before we even got there was really reassuring. They gave her many options on what they could do to help relieve any stress and anxiety before hand and my sister chose to take medicine to calm her down before hand, and even had numbing cream for any pokes they have to do. While shes getting her procedure done, they had me go into a private room and watch a video guide on how to take care of her properly which was great. They make sure your comfortable and educated on what to do and you have no questions or concerns about it. They even called in and checked on her afterwards too. I'll be back next month to take my daughter next and I am not even worried, I already know she will have exceptional care. 馃Ψ

I had an eval appt with Dr. Shepherd for an implant. He seemed nice but then I overheard him gossiping about me to Dr Gutt the Endo dentist.
Then when I saw Dr Gutt he repeated what they talked about to me not knowing I overheard Dr. Shepherd denigrating me; and it was not nice, it made me look really bad as a patient. I cancelled my implant procedure and never went back.
And the front desk are very rude and dismissive at times. Not every time but sometimes. This is all not acceptable as they charge a small fortune and won't take my insurance. Bad experience here.

Hello everyone! I had implants put in my mouth by Dr. Stringer and he did an Excellent Job he is very precise and thorough and I like that.. when you are having oral surgery done which is a major process you definitely want someone who knows what their doing and I definitely recommend Dr. Stringer. I did not feel any pain that was one of my worries but I felt no pain.. what I like is Dr. Stringer explained everything to me before he did the procedure he answered any questions I had and he explains the process before surgery to help you understand what takes place, they really treat you like Family here and all the Office Staff are very nice as well! I always feel welcomed every time I go see Dr. Stringer and what i also like is he is concerned how you feel which is Awesome and Authentic! Thank you to Dr. Stringer & all the Staff for everything you have done for me I really appreciate it! :))

Before the procedure, Stringer and I had a detailed conversation about delicious foods/culinary preferences. I got distracted talking about food, but that rascal well-knew he was sending me straight into smoked-ham and eggnog season, on a soup and water diet. Next time, we're doing this in Lent.
On a serious note; this was easily the best/smoothest dental experience I've ever had. They got me checked in a few minutes early, seated in a room, and after deadening, had a molar and a pre-molar out (one was nearly down to the gum), in about 8 minutes flat. Cost was even a bit less than originally estimated. They took excellent care of me, and got me on my way - couldn't ask for better.

About Great Lakes Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery P.C.
Great Lakes Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery P.C. is an oral surgery practice located at 405 Division Road, Suite 2, in Petoskey, Michigan, serving patients throughout northern Michigan and the Eastern Upper Peninsula. The practice offers a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, and corrective jaw surgery among its most common procedures. Other services listed on its website include bone grafting, exposure of impacted canines, facial trauma care, oral pathology, jaw joint disorders, and sleep apnea treatment.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice describes implants as an artificial tooth root, usually made of titanium, that is surgically placed into the jawbone and topped with a connector and a crown. The oral surgeons place the implant and connector, and the patient's own dentist places the final crown, so treatment is coordinated with your regular dental office. The practice invites patients to contact its Petoskey office for a consultation to learn whether implants are the right option. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
