Dr. Watson is the best oral surgeon, I had two oral surgeries with him, he was so gentle, quick, and careful, after even the implant I had, I had no pain, no swelling, and no bleeding, plus, he called me in person in the evening on the surgery day, this shows how much he cares about his patients. I want to give him 7 stars if there was one.

I’m giving this office a 5-star review strictly based on the staff and the level of care we received. I initially called to inquire about a full All-on-4 implant procedure. Unfortunately, I discovered that while they do the surgery, they refer patients to another location for the actual teeth. So, after shopping around for a reliable place with quality treatment at a reasonable price, I wanted to get an idea of costs, especially since we’re near Sugar Land. I brought my dad in for a full dental implant consultation, and the fee was $150 for a full mouth exam. We were informed that if our previous scans didn’t work with their system, we’d need to do an in-house scan for an additional $170. In total, we spent $320 just to get a quote that ended up being out of our budget. For anyone coming in, I suggest bringing any prior scans you have, and calling ahead to ensure they meet the required format to avoid paying for unnecessary scans. I came prepared with files, but unfortunately, they couldn’t open my file, so we had to do the scan. I mentioned that we were still shopping around for a better deal, and the staff member kindly agreed to charge me just $170 for the scan, even though I was initially told it would be $170 over the phone. I appreciated this gesture, as it reflected their willingness to help. From the moment we walked in, the staff was wonderful. Carolyn greeted us warmly and checked us in quickly. Then, Lisa assisted with my dad’s scan and was fantastic by really putting him at ease. We also met Dr. Bealka, who was very caring and attentive. His Spanish skills were a bonus, and he developed a treatment plan that didn’t require my dad to remove all his teeth and get full implants. I truly appreciated his honesty and the thoughtful approach he took. We then proceeded to the price consultation room, where we did have to wait about 15 minutes. We were quoted the cost for extracting five teeth with a sinus flap, but here’s where things took a turn. I wasn’t aware beforehand that this office does not have a lab or handle the replacement teeth. You receive one price for the extractions and metal implants, and then you have to pay for the replacement teeth separately. This was a dealbreaker for us, as it wasn’t what we were hoping for. Had I known about this arrangement up front, I could have saved the $320 and gone to a different practice that provides the full service in-house. Unfortunately, after considering all the costs and services, this office was the most expensive of the three we visited. While I appreciated the professional and kind staff, it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for our needs.

I was impressed with Dr. Watson and his team. They are always friendly and helpful. I had a gum infection on my implanted tooth. He did a procedure to clean the infection around the tooth. I feel no pain and just minor swelling. Overall, he and his assistant did an excellent job, he even called me the evening to check whether I was OK or if I needed any assistance and help just a phone call away. I will highly recommend Dr. Watson to anyone who needs his services.

I had implant surgery two days ago and there has been virtually little to no pain. The ice pack keeps the swelling down very nicely as well. Dr. Watson has been great throughout the entire process. He called the evening after the surgery to check on me, and he makes it clear that if I have any questions whatsoever that he and his staff are just a phone call away. He and his staff are easy to talk to and they never try to rush me when I have questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Watson.

The staff was friendly and efficient. Dr. Watson has performed all of my dental implants. He always completes the procedures painlessly and quickly. I've never had any problems after the procedures. The post-operative care is always explained clearly and given to the patient on paper to take home. I highly recommend Dr. Watson!

About Greater Houston Periodontics & Dental Implants

Greater Houston Periodontics and Dental Implants is a specialty practice in Sugar Land, Texas, located at 4724 Sweetwater Boulevard, Suite 101. The practice is exclusive to periodontal (gum) treatment and dental implant therapy, and its two periodontists, Dr. Stephen C. Watson, Jr. and Dr. Neil M. Bealka III, are both board certified as Diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology. Services include dental implants, cosmetic periodontal surgery, gum grafting, bone grafting, bone regeneration, ridge preservation, osseous surgery, crown lengthening, and non-surgical periodontal care. The office is multilingual, with English, Spanish, Cantonese and Mandarin speaking employees and doctors.

For patients considering implants, the practice describes them as small titanium posts placed in the jawbone that bond with the bone to create a strong foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel and function like natural teeth. The practice uses Straumann dental implants with a one-stage surgical procedure, and Dr. Watson has been placing implants since 1994. An implant consultation includes a dental and radiographic examination and health history, along with a discussion of fees and insurance, and the team works with your general dentist, who makes the final teeth. The practice serves the greater Houston area, including Sugar Land, Houston, Bellaire, Stafford, Rosenberg, Pearland, Wharton, Missouri City and West University.
