I broke a tooth and was referred to Greater Maryland Oral Surgery in Gaithersburg. Everyone there was kind and compassionate. Tania, the receptionist, was pleasant and helpful with paperwork and insurance information. Dr Niloy, my oral surgeon, listened to me about my being sensitive to anesthetics and gave me way less than he planned. He stopped when I said I thought it was enough, and turns out it was. At the end he said that was the least he ever used but was glad he listened to me. The surgeon's assistant Cassie was very helpful and attentive to my needs. She even offered me a banana (probably part of her own lunch) when I said I am diabetic and hadn't eaten. She gave me clear instructions for post surgery and follow up instructions. Way less stressful than expected! About as pleasant an experience as you could get for oral surgery appointment!

Dr. Perez did my daughter’s wisdom teeth removal and I was very impressed with how he and the office handled the entire process from start to finish. He really listens well, is very easy to talk to, an expert doctor and goes out of his way to provide the best care possible. We originally went to this practice for a second opinion and then decided to switch to Dr. Perez to perform the surgery as he seemed much more knowledgeable. We are both so glad that we made that choice.

Amazing first tooth extraction experience! I was dealing with a really painful toothache, and after I called, they were able to fit me in for an appointment the very next morning. During my visit, I had the tooth extracted by Dr. Gregory Romanow, and the entire process was quick, smooth, and completely painless. The staff was professional, caring, and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend this practice for anyone needing dental care. Thank you again!

Had wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Niloy. Very satisfied with process and results. Dr. Niloy and assistants were very caring and patient. They do ask you how you feel post op and that’s something I have not seen before as my husband had his procedure done in a different dental office. Thanks a lot!

I had a TMJ consultation appointment in November 2025. Before scheduling, I was told over the phone that my insurance was accepted. At the appointment, I was only asked to pay $10 and was told that this was my share—no further explanation was provided about coverage or billing. Six months later, I received an additional bill for $94. When I contacted their billing department, I was told that they do not work with medical insurance. This is something that should have been clearly communicated upfront, especially since TMJ is typically handled under medical, not dental, insurance. It is very frustrating that I was not informed of this at the time of scheduling or during the visit. Instead, I was simply told to pay my portion, with no transparency about potential additional charges. What is even more concerning is that when I questioned the bill, I was told it would be sent to collections after two more notices. This lack of transparency and poor handling of billing is extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this practice based on my experience.
