I had periodontic surgery here four days ago, and it was a great experience. Today, 11 days later I had a complication, and called the office. We spoke at 9:05 am, and I was in the chair receiving treatment from Dr. Carter. He rapidly diagnosed the issue and began treatment. I was happy at home before 11:30.
Gulfside receives my highest praise for professionalism, and patient care. I highly recommend Dr. Carter, and his superior staff. Customer care and support is the best you鈥檒l find on the coast.

Dr Carter and his staff are absolutely amazing!! They got me in quickly and were attentive to my needs and concerns. They were kind, caring and made me feel welcomed and safe 馃┓

I very seldomly leave reviews for businesses but I was so blown away by my experience at Gulfside Periodontics that I had to.
I have never been treated with such grace, kindness, and patience in a doctor/dentist setting like I was treated today.
It all started with me running late to my appointment. I gave them a call to let them know I was running a little bit behind and the front desk was SO sweet about it and made me feel very welcomed.
Amber (the hygienist/assistant, I believe) went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable at all times. She could read when I was anxious or uncomfortable and immediately would jump in with whatever I needed. Her bedside manner was quite literally the kindest I鈥檝e ever experienced.
Dr. Carter, as well, made sure that I was comfortable at all times and was extremely patient and understanding with me. I was expecting a 4 hour appointment but he got me in and out within two hours all the while he was still so thorough and as gentle as he could be.
I would shout from the rooftops how much I recommend this place if I had to.They truly go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.

Great experience. Dr Carter and staff took time to explain everything and answer all my questions prior and after the procedure. Definitely recommend him for any dental needs.

Everyone here are so nice and professional. Dr Carter is very thorough and no questions are left unanswered. They sent flowers after each procedure and if that tells you anything it鈥檚 they care. So glad I was referred to go here for their services.

Meet the Doctors

He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry and completed his Periodontics Certificate and Master of Science at the University of Tennessee. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from William Carey University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Carter is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Southern Academy of Periodontology, serves as the SPEAR Education study club leader for the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and lectures on periodontal plastic surgery, hard and soft tissue augmentation, and dental implants.
