I suppose my review is only a partial one, because as it turns out, I won't be getting my procedure done here (long story, has nothing to do with the business itself!). But I did want to leave a review anyway, because the experience I had was a really good one, and based off that alone, I'd be willing to have work done here in a heartbeat (pretending my financial situation could handle it!). I'd definitely recommend them.
I came in just for a consultation, but my doctor was running late. I think it was him I was hearing in the next room (I didn't WANT to eavesdrop, but it's hard to do!), performing a procedure on another patient. I think the patient had anxiety, which I understand because I do as well, but this dentist was SO amazing. He wasn't even working on me, and I felt at ease! I just heard him in there having a lighthearted conversation, making the patient laugh, etc. I can't speak for everyone, but that's the kind of personality I want when my anxiety is high.
Anyway, assuming it was the same dentist, he came into my room with the same lighthearted energy, the type that makes you feel like he really enjoys what he does (rather than it being "just a job"). We went over the X-rays, discussed everything, and he gave me time to ask any questions if I had them. Again, my decision not to get care here had absolutely NOTHING to do with the business. I'm just poor, and thanks to US healthcare, teeth are luxury bones and it's really expensive to treat them for anything more serious than a cleaning.
I have a LOT of dental anxiety, to the point where I bawled when my regular dentist was no longer in network with my new insurance, because finding a new dentist suuuuucks. It takes a lot for me to trust one, and I say all this because at least as far as Dr. Park goes, I would trust him in a heartbeat. Between overheard interactions and my own, I really think this is a place you'll feel at ease in. (But they offer sedation just in case!)

Dr. Massey was outstanding. He got me in quickly, was extremely professional, and clearly very skilled at what he does. The procedure was completely painless, which honestly exceeded my expectations. You can tell he’s very talented and takes pride in his work. Highly recommend

10/10 would highly recommend. For having to do something as undesirable as oral surgery, this was a great place to do it. The office space, staff, and Dr Allowitz anre extremely knowledgeable and professional and great at what they do. I felt like I was in very good hands and the procedure did successfully resolve my problem.

Dr. Matthew Massey, Melissa, and the rest of the Waco Heart of Texas Endodontics team treated me incredibly well! I recently went in for a root canal procedure and my experience was quick and pain free. Their communication was timely and helped put me as ease, and my post procedure discomfort was minimal. I highly recommend Heart of Texas Endodontics for any dental procedure needs.

After an aborted root canal attempt by Dr Massey because of some unexpected anxiety on my part, I was kindly and patently instructed to return a week later with appropriate meds to alleviate any fear. The meds worked, the root canal was performed, Dr. Massey was wonderful and professional and I’m now one tooth better. Thank you to Dr. Massey for his wonderful skill and know-how. I’m one happy patient now.

Dr. Massey completed dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston, served eight years in the US Army Dental Corps, graduated from the US Army Endodontic Residency at Fort Bragg in 2020, and became board certified by the American Board of Endodontics in 2022. Dr. Park attended dental school at Boston University, served seven years as a general dentist in the US Army Dental Corps, completed the US Army endodontic residency at Fort Bragg in 2020, and became board certified by the American Board of Endodontics in 2022. He continues to serve as a reservist at Fort Cavazos, Texas.
