I am incredibly impressed with Dr. Siew and the staff at High Desert Oral & Facial Surgery. Prior to the procedure, Dr. Siew thoroughly communicated the results of the assessment and provided explanations for each potential plan. I opted for the extraction/implant. During that procedure, Dr. Siew detailed each step and kept the process very comfortable and as pain-free as possible, and they kept my anxieties to a minimum. Let's be honest: getting your teeth pulled (or, really, going to the dentist for most reasons) is no walk on the beach, but Dr. Siew and his team did an outstanding job.
The staff at HDO&F have also been incredibly accommodating since the procedure. The follow-up care has been great. The surgeon himself took the time to phone and check in on the healing and even took the time two weeks later to check in via email.
If you're faced with the need for oral surgery, choose High Desert Oral & Facial Surgery. They provide exceptional service and do a great job of communicating every step along the way.

Kudos to Dr. Kaleem and his team! I’m pleased with the outcome of my surgery, which was performed one week ago. The staff was also very courteous. Despite being an employee of the organization, I’ve had many doctor visits and surgeries with UMC, and this experience has always been phenomenal. A big thank you to the assistants during my post-operative visits for their sympathy and support. Also, a special mention to Anastasia for all the hard work she did for me before, during, and after surgery.

I have nothing but positive things to say about everyone we've ever encountered at this location. Dr. Burke and Dr. Brockhoff are God sent. Dr. Burke performed surgery on my son and was always kind, compassionate and thoughtful. The nurses and coordinators have worked so diligently since day one. Dr. Brockhoff performed surgery on me and made sure I understood everything and always took time to answer any questions I had. HIGHLY recommend!

Dr. Furchtgott is the best, she was patient with my son and friendly. Staff was attentive and made my 7 year old feel comfortable that made this appointment easy for him. Was given surgery date fast and everything was smooth with best and fast recovery.

Dr. Yates is fantastic. We traveled from Portland, Oregon when our daughter was just 6 weeks old to have him and partner, Dr. Ziyad Makoshi, perform an endoscopic strip craniectomy for our daughter’s unicoronal craniosynostosis. She’s 10 months old now and doing fantastic; meeting all milestones and having great cosmetic correction from surgery and helmet treatment as well.
I cannot say enough good things. Drs. Yates and Makoshi have done the most endoscopic strip craniectomies in the world for treatment of craniosynostosis and hold the international symposium to train surgeons around the world in this life-saving technique. Dr. Yates just received the Emerging Leader Award from the American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association. They deliver top notch care; above and beyond! Every patient is part of a family of parents with a Facebook group for support. Dr. Yates gives each family his personal cell phone number as well for questions day or night--unlike any other surgeon I've met (and I’ve met a lot as an anesthesia provider)! If this review can help another family get the best care for their child, then everything we went through feels like it had more of a purpose. We’re so glad we chose Drs. Yates and Makoshi and we’d make the same choice again.
