Dr. M was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked through the door to the time of my surgery, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and highly professional. They made sure I felt comfortable and cared for every step of the way.
Even after the surgery, the nurse showed such kindness and attentiveness—not only to me, but also to my daughter who was there to drive me. That meant so much.
What truly stood out was the follow-up call to check on me, making sure I wasn’t in pain and to see if I had any questions or concerns. That level of care is rare.
I’ve been to many doctors and dentists, but HM Oral Surgery is by far the best. Thank you all for making me feel so valued and well cared for!

I cannot thank Dr. Hani Mahgoub and the entire team at HM Oral Surgery enough for what they have done for me. Receiving dental implants at HM Oral Surgery has truly been life-changing.
From my first consultation, Dr. Mahgoub treated me with professionalism, compassion, and respect. He took the time to explain the entire process, answered every question I had, and made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. His skill and attention to care are second to none.
Before my implants, I struggled with my teeth for years. It affected my confidence, my ability to eat comfortably, and even my willingness to smile. Today, I can eat the foods I enjoy, smile without embarrassment, and feel like myself again. The results have exceeded every expectation I had.
The staff at HM Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center were friendly, caring, and supportive throughout the entire process. It’s clear that patient care is their top priority.
Iris was amazing, very comforting and skillful during the follow ups and she made the entire process very anxiety free and quick for me as I’m not comfortable in dentists offices much. It was very reassuring and kind and i wish all oral care facilities did the same. Never change!

Went in for a consultation two weeks ago and got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday. The entire staff - from the front office, surgeon, nurses, etc. were all so kind and took very great care of me. This is coming from someone who has very bad anxiety of dental offices; they made me feel comfortable and were very reassuring. Highly recommend them! Thank you so much.

I had an excellent experience with HM Oral Surgery and Dr. Mahgoub. I called on Wednesday because I was having a concern with my implants after being told to call if I had any issues. They scheduled me right away for the very next day, Thursday, which I truly appreciated.
Dr. Mahgoub was very helpful, kind, and thorough. Everything turned out to be fine, and my implants are healing perfectly — it may have just been something I ate — but he still took the time to see me, examine everything carefully, and make sure there were no problems. I also have a follow-up appointment next month.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the quick appointment made me feel cared for. Thank you to Dr. Mahgoub and the entire team for the excellent service.

WOW!!! I went to HM to get an extraction done. The front desk people were awesome in welcoming me. Then Iris prepared me for the procedure, which included x-rays. She was super awesome. And so was Maria. When the dentist came, he calmed me down and made me feel comfortable. Put the IV in and the last thing I remember him saying was “we’ll see you in a little while”. They woke me and I said ok I’m ready, they said we’re done. 👀. Absolute outstanding experience. Thanks to the entire staff at HM. YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST!!

Meet the Doctors
HM Oral Surgery is led by Hani Mahgoub, DDS, MD, a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon who has practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery since 2009. Dr. Mahgoub grew up in the Charlotte area and earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at UNC-Chapel Hill, his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Marquette University, and his Doctor of Medicine degree while completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, following a one year oral and maxillofacial surgery internship at Emory University. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.
