I had an excellent experience at the dental office. Becky, my hygienist, was so kind, gentle, and professional, and she made me feel completely comfortable throughout my visit. Dr. Carlisle and the entire staff were welcoming, caring, and attentive. Everyone was friendly and made the whole appointment a positive experience. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for great dental care!

I’ve received treatment and cleanings seven times so far at Hometown Dental. The hygienist is very friendly, considerate, and — most importantly — gentle. Dr. Carlisle is a consummate professional and always receptive to questions and concerns. Patient education is clearly emphasized, with a focus on helping patients maintain excellent oral hygiene at home. The office staff has also been very helpful, especially with insurance questions. In fact, they’ve gone above and beyond on more than one occasion to make sure everything was handled smoothly. Following the advice of both Dr. Carlisle and the hygienist has truly helped me reduce the need for dental repairs. I highly recommend Hometown Dental to anyone seeking professional, caring dental care in the greater Johnson City area.

So sad to be sharing this but I think it is important. Giving 2 stars cause most of the techs are super nice. Please be careful! I went here without dental insurance, purchased the membership here, and had thousands of dollars worth of work. I couldn't figure out why my crown i got kept getting more and more painful over the months. I had been in to follow up on the pain and how uncomfortable it is but they said everything looked fine. Fast forward months later I got dental insurance and decided to get a second opinion. They said the crown I have is HUGE and there is a gap all the way around causing air and liquids to get underneath irritating my nerves! While I was there I asked about another filling Home town dental did that is sharp and always cuts my floss. They showed me the filling (which is not even a year old by the way) and it has a huge sharp overhang and a chunk missing. This has been cutting my floss since they did it. Now I am out thousands. Thankfully the amazing dentist I followed up with offered to fix my botched crown FOR FREE. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I reached out via the online contact form and received an email back asking if I had insurance. Once I advised that I have insurance and what insurance I have (as they were listed under covered providers on my insurance providers website) I NEVER heard anything back. I left a voicemail when they were out of office and no one ever called me back. Even though I now view this as a blessing because I found an incredible dental practice, I feel people should know that this place doesn’t seem to care about potential new patients.
