Dr. Romero has been my prosthodontist since October 2007. He put three teeth on two implants back then. Last year, he added one more implant, after bone had been added to the site and healed. I still have my three original prosthetic teeth in good condition. Dr. Romero is very knowledgeable, friendly, and explains every step. He uses the latest technology which saves time for both his patients and himself. His office staff is also highly experienced. I highly recommend his practice.

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Romero and his team. Dr. Romero is a true perfectionist, and I now have a smile I can wear with complete confidence. He explained every step of the process, I never experienced any pain and I never once felt worried or scared鈥擨 knew I was in the best hands.
His staff is professional, kind, and efficient, always thoughtful and mindful of patient comfort and privacy. There was never a crowded waiting room, which made the entire experience feel calm and personal.
This office sets the standard for care, skill, and compassion. I highly recommend them and am truly grateful for the experience and results.

I want to thank Dr. Romero he was able to recognize the type of implant I Have so I didn鈥檛 have to take the whole implant out to replace a cap. I鈥檓 so thankful I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Romero鈥榮 office. Thank you again.

Meet the Doctors
The clinical team at Houston Dental Implant & Cosmetic Center is made up of four prosthodontists. Dr. Giancarlo Romero, a maxillofacial prosthodontist, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1993, completed his prosthodontics certificate and Master of Science degree at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1998, and completed a fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics and dental oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is an associate professor in the graduate prosthodontic program at the University of Texas Health Science Center and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Dr. Carlos Soucy, a prosthodontist, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and completed his prosthodontics training and Master of Science degree at the University of Texas in Houston. He practiced in Caracas for 18 years and taught at the University of Florida College of Dentistry before joining the practice. Dr. Carlos Sierra, a prosthodontist, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Colegio Odontologico Colombiano in 1991, completed a dental implant fellowship in 1996, and obtained his prosthodontics certificate and Master of Science degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 2005. Dr. Karen Clemente, a maxillofacial prosthodontist, earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1998, completed her prosthodontics certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston in 2003, and completed a fellowship in maxillofacial prosthodontics and dental oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She completed an implant fellowship in 2019 and serves on the committee of the Advanced Prosthodontics Alumni Association.
