My level of being impressed by Hunter Oral & Implant Surgery is super high.
The Nurse and Doctor were pleasant and very thorough. They all made my Son feel comfortable and explained everything. This lowered ALL anxiety he had.
Did not feel rushed leaving the office. The Doctor even called to check on my Son later that evening and also answered any questions I had. Extremely pleased! Thank y’all so much!

I never NEVER write reviews but I felt the need to on this because of how terrified I was.
I never got my wisdom teeth removed growing up, not because I was afraid but because they came later in life and just didn't hurt badly enough to remove. A few month ago (or more) the pain became unbearable, so I used Orajel to avoid having to get them removed. Then a week ago Aura Migraines started (not exactly friendly) and obstructed my vision. My boss, Darren recommended I see Les to have them removed so I immediately looked him up and looked at reviews (as one does).
I called on a Thursday (I think) and they booked me for Monday...not exactly a lot of time for me to process (lol). But I was happy, it's like getting a tattoo with a group of friends, if you're afraid you go first so you don't back out. I spent the next few days watch wisdom teeth removal videos online, researching everything I could and gaining many new fears (like an idiot, but I like preparedness).
Monday comes, I'm sitting in a chair after spending hours crying and dreading the prodecdure. I requested some kind of pain killer because I am not good with pain, come to find out they don't prescribe those anymore (only ibuprofen and tylenol) and that terrified me (I also learned that 1 in 1,000 [0.01%] people are allergic and so it was partial relief because I gained a fear of BEING allergic to it but also terrified because if the pain was unbearable then I wouldn't have much to help me).
One of the nurses saw my friend carrying my purse (Harry Potter themed) and she started talking to me about it. At this point they had already put in the IV, the last thing I remember is telling her I liked the Order of the Pheonix best (lol). Then I remember coming to. No dream (I gained a fear I'd have nightmares the whole time) you DO NOT dream while you're under apparently.
While we were on our way home I learned, I kept telling the staff I wasn't afraid of them, I was afraid of the procedure and how much I appreciated them. They told me they couldn't salvage my teeth and I told them it was okay only to asked them seconds later for my teeth - to which the nurse went to go see if a couple WERE salvagable. I told the nurse she was pretty and wanted to hold her hand (lol omg I am so sorry if you read this, I hope I wasn't too much of a bother) and I can't remember what else he told me.
A long winded story to say, Les was amazing, the nurses were amazing. Y'all were right I did NOT need the pain killers. It does hurt but it's bearable :) I really appreciate y'all so much. I would recommend oral surgery here to anyone who needed it.
And you and Darren need to bring me back a Pheasant, never had one before!

I want to thank you again. I would definitely recommend your services to everyone. With my daughter having to deal with brain cancer and having to have her tooth removed before starting radiation again, your team and yourself touched my daughter’s heart. Your kindness has had her telling everyone about her experience. Thank you again from my heart!

I highly recommend Dr. Hunter. I was nervous when I arrived. The staff was very compassionate and friendly. Dr. Hunter was comforting with a good sense of humor and has an excellent hand for what he does. I had a difficult situation that I expected to take a long time, and he was finished within about 5 minutes from beginning the procedure. He even gave me a hug before I left. I am grateful to have been referred here.

Best dental experience I’ve ever had was with Hunter Oral and Implant Surgery! Having Alpha Gal complicates any procedures and increases my fear of any treatment, especially oral care. From initial intake questionnaire to discharge instructions All staff were informed, professional and caring. Dr Hunter was kindly reassuring and supportive. Excellent customer service from each contact in clinic . Was touched by names of staff on their face shields that made me realize each person was confident and comforting !Thankful for the best experience !

About Hunter Oral & Implant Surgery
Hunter Oral & Implant Surgery, located in Columbia, TN, provides oral and maxillofacial surgery care, including dental implant placement, bone grafting, wisdom teeth removal, and tooth extractions. The practice offers services ranging from single implant placement to full-arch and All-on-4 treatment for patients missing all upper or lower teeth. Care begins with a consultation and imaging to evaluate your needs, and the team coordinates with your general dentist to plan a stable, natural-looking final result.
Because bone health is often part of a successful implant outcome, the practice also offers bone grafting to rebuild or preserve jawbone when needed, particularly for patients who have been missing teeth for a while or have had prior dental infections. The surgical staff is trained to assist with IV sedation and general anesthesia when appropriate, and the team explains each step of treatment so patients understand what to expect before, during, and after surgery.
