This is a cautionary tale for anyone who has TMJ issues. This facility has the ability to help you long-term, but not short term for injections, pain releif, or anything in-between. They will only be able to help you if you can receive long-term care for a minimum of 5 months with them at their facility. After several phone calls and emails back and forth, Dr. Ferrera reviewed my case and was honest that she, as a medical professional, could not provide me with the help that I needed (TMJ assistance, with cortisol injections or arthrocentesis, or anything to help with the pain). She was very clear that she didn't want to rush any treatment or proceed with a treatment she wasn't comfortable with giving. Although I am dissapointed that I am still without care and a debilitating condition, I immensely respect the way this facility handled me. They tried to find a solution, truly, but it wasn't possible at this time. They wont lie to you. If they can't help you, then you can trust that it is because they reviewed your case and did everything they could to find a solution. They are aware of how expensive they are, and won't let you throw away your money on an appointment that will amount to no patient benefit. As a patient, this is an absolute nightmare, but as someone who is both a patient and healthcare professional myself, I know that these are the BEST kind of people in medicine and dentistry... If you have TMJ problems, make sure you address it with this facility 5 months before you have any major life changes, and I am absolutely sure that you will receive fair and outstanding care. I only wish I could have received their assistance as well.

They know you when you walk in the door with your first name and a smile. This practice is the best dentist office I have been to. If you have a issue you can call and text them and they will drop what they are doing to help. Always polite with positive energy and atmosphere. Would recommend 1000%

My experience with Dr. Nicole Ferrara and her practice was profoundly disappointing. I sought help for TMJ pain and left with no relief, no completed treatment, and almost five thousand dollars gone. Dr. Ferrara’s approach was rigid and inflexible from the beginning. The daytime splint caused severe sensory distress that never improved, no matter how many adjustments were made. The nighttime splint arrived with a significant lab error and had to be manually altered by a dental assistant. I was told a correct replacement would be ordered. It never arrived. There were no alternative options offered. No individualized care. No acknowledgment that the treatment was failing. When I asked for support because the devices were unmanageable, the office manager, Jamie, told me to keep trying to wear the splint and to call back if it eventually started working. That was the entire response. No guidance. No assessment. No empathy. It was clear in that moment that this practice is not equipped to support patients who do not fit into their narrow, one size fits all model. I paid almost five thousand dollars out of pocket. I received nothing that addressed my pain or my needs. I filed both a dispute and a board complaint. Both were denied, but that does not change what happened. A denied complaint does not mean the treatment was ethical. It only means the provider did not violate the strict legal thresholds used by the board. It does not reflect agreement with the care I received. My report now sits in Dr. Ferrara’s record, and it belongs there. I hope other patients speak up if they experience similar issues. 👉Silence only protects patterns. This experience has had lasting effects. It has damaged my trust in dental providers, including the dentist who referred me here. The lack of compassion, flexibility, and accountability created a level of anxiety I now carry into any dental appointment. I am sharing this so others can make fully informed decisions before committing to expensive treatment. My experience with Dr. Nicole Ferrara’s practice showed me that this office is not prepared to adapt care, support complex cases, or provide the attention patients deserve. This review reflects my personal experience and opinions based on the treatment I received. I share it in good faith so others can protect their health, their resources, and their peace.

Dr. Nicole M. Ferrara & Johanna made me feel like I was the most important patient that they ever had. They both treated me like they had known me all their lives. They certainly made me feel special. They were both very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was very comfortable in their caring hands. I was very impressed with the whole operation. It made me wish that this was my dentist. I am in love with Implant & General Dentristy of Northern Colorado. Jim Henry

I have been going to Implant and General Dentistry for many, many years, and since my children's dental office suddenly and unexpectedly shut down, I also have them go to Implant and General Dentistry. Overall, they are very organized, very on time and very thorough, and I have enjoyed all my interactions with people. They are upfront with costs and options. I tried others local offices and just didn't feel as welcome as I did here. This is a great place to make your permanent dental office.
