I’ve been a patient of Indian River Dentistry for almost four years. My treatments have been fine and the hygienist and dentist have given me good treatment. I’ve never had a problem scheduling an appointment or with billing. All in all up to these past few days things have been great. Unfortunately I was just informed that as of mid October IR dentistry will no longer accept my insurance. This is very disappointing and I’m now looking for either new insurance or a new dentist.

Dr. Plower is an excellent dentist with a wonderful practice and team. At the top of that team is Jodi, a dental hygienist at that location for more than 40 years. Jodi is absolutely the best dental hygienist I have ever seen. I schedule my appointments based on making sure Jodi will be my hygienist that day. I don’t have great genetics for my teeth so I really have to take care of them (flossing daily, etc.) and Jodi knows if I am doing well (or not) on the care of my teeth. She says, “I am not your critic. I am your cheerleader.” I have recommended Dr. Plower to many colleagues and friends. The front desk staff and checkout staff are also very nice, efficient, and skilled.

I have not seen a dentist in 3 years due to bad experiences in the past. A few days ago all that changed. I am happy to say it exceeded my expectations. My hygienist Miranda, was so incredible! She was patient, kind and more importantly talked me through everything she was doing, which put me at ease. She kept checking in with me on my comfort level as she proceeded. This was the first cleaning in my life that was relatively painless! The dentist Dr. Plower, was also easy to talk to and very thorough. She explained the steps that would occur on my next visit. Unfortunately, I am waitlisted, but the nice receptionist, said they’d call me ASAP. They are worth waiting for and I’m just thrilled to have found them. If you are looking for a new dentist, look no further! I highly recommend Indian River Dentistry.

I love this place. So many bright smiling faces. So many knowledgeable hygienists and dentists willing to help. I got two crowns and two root canals and they set me up with a root canal specialist that was so good at his job I almost fell asleep in the chair GETTING A ROOT CANAL!! Their whole team and system of specialists are literally top notch. And I should know, I’m a Navy veteran who got dental work done in the navy where the hygenists there were McDonald’s cashiers just months prior to messing around in my mouth! They put in this awesome looking #6 silver Cupid crown too!

This was my first visit to Indian River Dentistry and I’m blown away!!! From the time I walked in the door, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The young lady who took my X-rays and then did my dental cleaning was so polite, and very caring. I have a few sensitive teeth and she took extra care to not cause me any pain when using the air or cold water when cleaning. She was very friendly and talkative and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Plower came in with a pleasant smile on her face and a warm hello. She was very thorough and did not rush my questions. I can honestly say this was a great experience and would highly recommend this dental office.
