Initial visit. The personalities of all I met were very friendly. Considering this was a dental appointment, the atmosphere allowed one to relax.
I received a running commentary explaining everything being done. Definitely a plus.
Dr. Smith and his group was recommended to me when I moved to Kingsport and I forward the recommendation to all very highly.

There is no other dentist in the entire Tri-Cities area that I would even consider going to. Dr. John Allen Smith is the consummate professional as are all of his staff people. Every time I go there it's like going on a family reunion because we all share stories about our different families and what we're doing.

About John Alan Smith, DDS
John Alan Smith, DDS is a general and family dental practice in Kingsport, Tennessee, offering a full range of services including dental implants alongside crowns, bridges, dentures, and partials. The practice describes dental implants as a permanent solution for missing teeth, using a titanium rod placed in the jawbone to anchor an artificial tooth, which can provide a more solid foundation than a bridge or denture alone and help preserve facial structure.
According to the practice, implants offer better support for surrounding teeth, improved comfort and chewing function compared to dentures or bridges on their own, and a restoration of normal speaking and eating. The office also provides crowns that can be used to cover a dental implant, and welcomes patients seeking to replace one or several missing teeth. Payment options include cash, checks, credit and debit cards, most insurance plans, Care Credit, and an in-house membership plan for patients without insurance.
