Enormous amount of paperwork required to get past the front desk, which actually took longer than the procedure, but after that, I had a fantastic experience at Kalispell Oral Surgery, and how often can someone say that (in all honesty) about oral surgery? The staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. I had an assigned staff who guided me through the entire process, start to finish, all the way to my car door in the parking lot when I was done. Dr Hanson took the time to explain every aspect of what was about to happen, and then followed through afterward with a detailed report about the process and outcome that I had missed while under anesthesia. I left with a clear understanding about what I needed to do to sustain the successful surgical outcome. The well-considered coordination of their ample staff resource and the subsequent excellent treatment of patients suggests a degree of training, commitment, and oversight that is sadly lacking in other healthcare facilities in the Flathead Valley at this time. The best part? The post-surgical pain that many had advertised (including my referral source) never arrived. I didn’t even need Tylenol afterward, much less any kind of prescription pain relief. Who knew that oral surgery could be so quick and easy—once you make it through the seemingly endless pages of preliminary paperwork. I can’t imagine that anyone does this any better, and the Wild West motif adds an extra dimension of fun. My only suggestion: cowboy boots and hats for the non-surgical staff.

I had the most pleasant experience possible for a recent implant surgery. The staff, Dr Sheppard and the whole process was painless and relatively stress free. Oral surgery is never fun but this team was amazing.

They are professional, polite, clean, comfortable, helpful, kind, understanding, and willing to spend the time necessary to make you feel at ease with your care. I took my two teens in at the same time to get all four wisdom teeth out at once, and we were treated so well I couldn't believe it. When we had a little trouble along the healing way, they talked us through it at length with kindness and in a very personable way. I couldn't recommend them more.

Can’t believe how easy and painless having 4 extractions went after a wisdom tooth erupted and broke 2 molars. Loved the very calm atmosphere and such a wonderful staff to work with, their efficiency and experience is so professional, caring and friendly. My surgeon took time to answer all my questions and his recovery procedure is easy to understand and follow when I went home. The whole experience has been A+++! Thank you

Dr. Shepherd and his team are extraordinary! The level of care, personal connection, patience, and empathy the team extended is quite unbelievable, life changing.
