I’ve been seeing Dr. Chen for about two years now and I can’t say enough good things about her and her team! The patient care is always attentive - they really go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and fully understand any treatment you’re receiving. What I really appreciate is Dr. Chen’s thoughtful approach. I’ve come across some dentists in the past who can be overly aggressive with treatment plans but she takes the time to monitor any issues and only recommends procedures when truly necessary. It doesn’t feel like treatments are recommended to make money but rather assessed as genuine care for your dental health. The office itself is beautifully designed, parking is easy and they validate so it’s convenient to head over to Old Town afterwards for some shopping or food

It doesn’t feel like going to the dentist but seeing old friends. Procedures are super gentle and thorough and catered to the patient needs and not to sell a service or else. I am 38 years old and never had this beautiful experience at the dentist before. Definitely healing! 10/10 recommend. Thank you Dr. Emily & Team

I have so many positive things to say about Kindred Dentistry, which speaks volumes about the quality of the practice. Dr. Emily Chen. The dentist has historically been a traumatic experience for me (I'm 40). However, that is the furthest truth from Dr. Chen's intentional and professional practice. Dr Chen came highly recommended by my OBGYN. Having the endorsement of another doctor is a HUGE green flag. Environment/Office/Space: beautiful, immaculate, spa-like, clean, and welcoming. The practice is female-owned/managed, and nine out of ten, you communicate directly with Dr. Chen when you call/email/text in. The personal touch is unmatched. I feel like a seen and cared for client vs. a dollar sign. Supporting Staff: Ceaser is Dr. Chen's right hand and is excellent at what he does. He is the first phase of the experience at his practice. He is responsible for your X-rays and all the prep work. He's gentle and thoughtful when it comes time to place the sensors in your mouth and explain every step of your appointment. Office Communication & Paperwork: Everything is paperless, digital, and easy to complete on your cellphone or computer. I love the chat/text interface (human communication/not a bot) that allows me to complete my paperwork, ask questions, and confirm the appointment scheduling. The team is speedy and responsive (I'm accustomed to 24-48-hour response times). My expectations are consistently exceeded. Oral/Dental Care: Top TIER. Dr Chen and team care about your oral health more than making a profit. There were expensive procedures I thought I needed based on my research (webMD lol) that they redirected or shot down because it wasn't the best option for my oral health in the short and long term. I have cavity-prone teeth, a crowded mouth, receding gums from aggressive brushing, an old root canal that needs to be replaced, and 2-of-3 wisdom teeth that I just had removed (by Dr Chen). I've had one tooth pulled before, and it was a traumatic, painful experience that was plagued with infection by another dentist. The two wisdom teeth I had pulled with Dr. Chen were an easy/painless process. She took her time, made a point not to rush the process, and made sure my bone/gums were intact. Additionally, her office checked in on me weekly to ensure I was healing properly. Also, can we talk about her state-of-the-art equipment? Say goodbye to the old-school ex-rays on sheets developed in the office. Everything is done in real-time and stored digitally. Every examination room has a smart screen/TV with the application used to manage patient ex-rays. As each image is taken, it's automatically loaded to the screen in front of you. Dr. Chen/Ceaser will talk you through your ex-rays, their assessment, and recommendations in real-time so you understand precisely what you're looking at and what needs to be done. I've never seen this technology before in my life, but it's a game-changer! The Vibes: They have amazing music and all forms of media entertainment to distract you from what's happening in your mouth. I got to listen to "BBL Drizzy" and Jungle this week during my cleaning yesterday. Also, as a lifelong coffee and tea drinker, my teeth have never been this clean/white/smooth after a decent cleaning. I hope this honest review and the attached pictures help you make an informed decision. My two cents: Don't walk; run to this practice and tell at least two friends.

I've had a fantastic experience at this dental office. I came in needing a night guard and Dr. Chen was incredibly helpful. The process was quick and easy, and my new night guard fits perfectly. What truly impressed me was the extra care and attention to detail. My situation is a bit unique yet she went above and beyond to provide a bottom retainer that works perfectly for me. It's clear she is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely cares about her patients specific needs. The office itself is great. A small detail that made a big difference was the easy and free parking. The parking structure is conveniently located just past (west of) the office which is a huge bonus in a busy area. The entire staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for exceptional dental care!

I highly recommend Kindred Dentistry and Dr. Emily Chen as a dentist! She has been incredibly supportive and has helped me overcome my dental anxiety with her gentle and reassuring approach. Dr. Chen always explains each step, which has made me feel so much more comfortable during appointments. Her assistant Cesar is attentive, funny, and kind, adding to the relaxed atmosphere, and Amber at the front desk is always welcoming and efficient. The whole team creates such a warm, caring environment. Definitely the best dental experience I've ever had!
