I recently had a jaw cyst removed by Dr Lyman. First of all his office is beautiful and immaculate. During my pre-op and post-op visits Dr Lyman was very professional and explained everything in great detail. My procedure was successful and I’m a happy camper! I highly recommend Dr Lyman.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The office is spotless, welcoming, and very professional. The staff was incredible — friendly, helpful, and made everything feel smooth and stress-free. I had an extraction and dental implant done, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The Dr. Lyman was knowledgeable, gentle, and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. Everything went seamlessly. Truly a 10/10 experience and I highly recommend this office!

I visited Lakewood Ranch Oral and Facial Surgery on March 20, 2026, for a consultation regarding a failed dental implant that was placed by a dentist in Virginia. Unfortunately, the implant posts were resting on nerves, and I have lost feeling on the left side of my mouth as a result. Dr. Lyman was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He thoroughly reviewed my situation, answered my questions, and honestly explained that surgery was not necessary and that it was unlikely I would regain feeling in the affected area. While the news was difficult to hear, I appreciated his transparency and expertise. However, my experience with the office staff was very disappointing. Two and a half months later, I called to confirm that my records had been sent to my general dentist, Watts Dental. During that call, I spoke with a receptionist named Elizabeth, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was also informed that my insurance had not been billed because the necessary information was not provided and that I owed $231. This was very frustrating because I uploaded my insurance card and driver’s license before my appointment and also provided the documentation again at check-in. The contrast between the excellent care I received from Dr. Lyman and the poor customer service I experienced afterward was disappointing. Dr. Lyman earns five stars for his professionalism and care. Unfortunately, my interaction with the front office significantly affected my overall experience.

Absolutely great experience from the first visit to the actual procedure and follow up visits. Dr Lyman and his team are the best especially Elizabeth. The only issue we had is with their billing department and lack of notice about any outstanding balance after estimates provided

Dr. Lyman and his staff are the absolute moral and ethical compass that modern healthcare needs. I believe in reviews and providing honest feedback for others, should they ever be in a predicament that I was facing. Over the last year one horrible dental and medical experience after another leaving empty handed with no diagnosis or solution, I was grateful to come across Lakewood Ranch Oral and Facial Surgery. The front office staff are compassionate, understanding and helpful. They got me in immediately for an appointment, as a new patient same day AND it was the day before I was heading out of town for a business trip (imagine my relief). In addition to following up with my treatment and care plan soon after. No pressure to move forward just concern to ensure I was comfortable. The atmosphere, irregardless the time of year is warm, welcoming and comfortable. A complete 180 that you would expect from an oral surgeons office. The ambiance, music, staff and even Piper brought me smiles and respite during one of the worst time in my life. ****IMPORTANT*** If you're seeking strictly provider feedback Dr. Lyman, he not only understood my medical journey but dove into the root cause. I myself as an analyst, strive for results of this caliber as it is the root.. The derivative of all problems. What 10+ providers missed, Dr. Lyman educated, provided ample resources, and mostly importantly supported a path back to good health. I don't know where I would be had I not been so blessed to find a empathetic and truthful practice and provider.
