This was my first time visiting Legacy Dental with Dr. Jonathan Campbell office.
I had a part of my old filling come off, and they were able to schedule me for the very next day, which I truly appreciated. I arrived on time and had completed the new patient paperwork online prior to my arrival. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed into a pleasant and professional environment. The front desk gal (Heather)already knew who I was and made me feel comfortable right away. Heather at the front desk was especially welcoming and helpful.
Shortly after checking in, I was taken to the operatory by the dental assistant, Keisha. She was excellent!!, knowledgeable, very communicative, personable, and attentive to my concerns before the doctor even came in.
Dr. Jonathan Campbell then performed the examination, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was very nervous about seeing a new dentist, but all my fears disappeared. He was gentle, efficient, and incredibly professional. Hands down, he is the best dentist I have ever had in my life.
I left the office feeling great and, surprisingly, actually enjoyed the visit—something I never thought I would say about a dental appointment.
I live in EM, and it takes me about an hour and a half to get there, but it is absolutely worth the drive to be seen by Dr. Campbell and his outstanding staff. Without a doubt, this is my dentist for life.

I had such a great experience at this office. The dentist and staff were incredibly kind, patient, and informative. They took the time to explain all my options and offered an affordable in-house payment plan, which made a huge difference for me. I finally feel confident and excited about my dental care. I truly appreciate their honesty and compassion…highly recommend!

This place was the best dentist experience I have ever had in 47 years, eliminated all dentist fears that We turmoil,and our imagination blows out of proportion ,Finally after "Several" dentists!! My tooth is fixed,You are the best Dude, praise to You,for being a top notch dentist,Whom fixed a problem,other tard,dentists couldn't,Love You Guys,Top notch assistance to,she was unbelievably awesome,I will now go to the dentist religiously,Way to go Legacy Dental,Whhhooo Raaaa.

I have new insurance and wasn't sure where to go. Like everyone else, I viewed ratings for the best dentist and sure enough, Salt Lakers did not disappoint. The Legacy Dental Staff is like a well run machine. Everyone is nice, professional and knows what they are doing. The office is large but its not overwhelming and everyone knows, going to the dentist can be scary. Legacy is calm and welcoming and everyone is there to make sure your comfort is number one. And of course, every person for every step of my appointment was excellent. Dr. Campbell has a very gentle manner. I wish I had found this office years ago. Thank you!

Legacy dental was a total 180 from my past dental experiences. Dr Call along with the entire staff I interacted with were all incredibly kind and there was zero pressure. My options were clearly explained along with the cost. I’m so thankful that I found them and won’t be going anywhere else!

Legacy Dental is a group dental practice at 1345 East 3900 South, Suite 116 in the Millcreek area of Salt Lake City, directly across from St. Mark's Hospital. The office serves patients from Salt Lake City, Millcreek, Holladay, Murray, Cottonwood Heights and Sugarhouse. The practice describes its philosophy in the words of its founder, Dr. Galen V. Campbell: together with kindness, knowledge and skill, we achieve excellent dental care. For patients missing teeth, Legacy Dental offers single tooth implants, multiple teeth implants, All-on-4 full arch implants, implant supported dentures, immediate or same day implants, and mini implants, along with bone grafting and sinus lifts for patients who have lost jawbone. The team uses digital X-rays and 3-D planning for implant treatment, and offers local anesthesia or sedation for comfort during implant surgery.
Beyond implants, the practice provides restorative dentistry including dentures and partial dentures, general and family dentistry such as checkups, cleanings, fillings, root canals and extractions, cosmetic dentistry including veneers, crowns, whitening, smile makeovers and Candid Pro clear aligners, sedation dentistry, and emergency dental care. Legacy Dental advertises single tooth implants (implant, stock abutment and crown) starting at $3,999, with payment options that include CareCredit, Cherry Financing, an in-house payment plan, and a dental membership plan for patients without insurance. The office accepts all major dental insurance plans and offers evening and Saturday appointments. As a group practice, more than one provider will often evaluate a patient's care.
Meet the Doctors
Legacy Dental's clinical team includes Dr. Jonathan G. Campbell, DDS, FAGD, who earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Boyne School of Dentistry at Creighton University, is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and is featured on the practice's website as its dental implant dentist. Dr. LaMont E. Hesselgesser, DDS, graduated from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University and has been an associate dentist at Legacy Dental since 2014. Dr. Brad Stewart, DDS, earned his dental degree at Indiana University and is a member of the American Dental Association and the Utah Dental Association. Dr. Cameron K. Call trained at Roseman University of Health Sciences and completed a residency in advanced general dentistry through NYU Lutheran, with additional training in dental implants, root canals and cosmetic procedures. The practice's homepage also lists Dr. Westmoreland, DDS, a graduate of the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association and Utah Dental Association. The practice was founded by Dr. Galen V. Campbell, DDS, FAGD, who practiced in Salt Lake City from 1976 until his passing in 2012.
