I appreciate the dentist and his male dental assistant. (I think his name was Michael?) Both were so professional and knowledgeable. And both gentlemen answered my questions throughly and clearly. That being said, I have to mention the reception. Both women were friendly, but neither are very good at clear communication. I had questions about costs, and I never got very clear answers. Why would there be a big enough difference in the costs of a new patient visit from patient to patient that you couldn't give an estimate? Isn't there a set standard of procedures yall do for all patients? When I asked about the intial visit cost(the reason I was there), I had to ask a couple of times and her answers didn't make sense at first. I understand some things cannot be conveyed until the dentist sees the patient. But the way neither receptionist was clear about the costs I asked about and the manner in which they tried to explain how they wanted to bill my medical insurance instead of my dental insurance seemed super sketchy, and I was never given a clear reason why other than the office wanting to take out some wisdom teeth while doing surgery. The lack of clarity and the fact they refused to give me a printed out treatment plan was another suspicious moment for me. I can't recall a time I went to a dentist office that refused to give me a printed treatment plan. Not to mention other offices I've gone to was atleast willing to give me a big ballpark figure on how much various treatments will run. Like I said, everyone was friendly but the lack of clarity and refusal to give a printed treatment plan soured my whole visit and I don't plan on returning to this office. A true shame because the dentist and his assistant were wonderful. More transparency, willingness to be helpful, and better communication would do the reception a world of good.

Recently, I had to have a broken tooth extracted. It has been many years since it was necessary for me to have anything more than a filling or two. Needless to say, I was a bit apprehensive. Now, on the other side of the procedure, I can say that the only discomfort I felt was just a bit of pressure being exerted to pull the tooth. It was, by far, the absolute best dental experience I have ever had! Thank you to everyone at Live Oak! 🤩

Overall my experience was fair. I went in for wisdom teeth removal. The surgeon himself was wonderful, very reassuring and understanding. The assistants I had the day of surgery were absolutely wonderful and very comforting. Unfortunately the receptionist, I believe her name is Myra (apologize if the spelling is incorrect), was so rude and unprofessional. When I spoke to her on the phone a day prior, she was constantly interrupting me, I couldn’t even finish answering the questions she was asking me before she would cut me off again. Once I got into the office her demeanor was the same, very short and acted like everything was an inconvenience to her. Every time she would say my name she would pronounce it incorrectly, which is fine after the first, maybe second time, but after I’ve corrected you 10+ times, I would expect you to have the decency to take the time to pronounce it correctly. It just makes it seem like she doesn’t care. If I wasn’t in as much pain as I was, I would have loved to take my business elsewhere. The first person a patient always talks to is the receptionist, with that being said, the receptionist should actually care about people and care about making their experience a good one. From start to end.

Great Dr great assistants Susann up at the front super nice and helpful Myra I think her name was Is rude snippy and acts like it a hassle when a patient comes in. Reading all the other reviews I’m not alone in this…..not sure why it’s just allowed

Dr Gliddon is very cautious and does make your experience non remembering. I remember speaking to him when he said we will take this tooth. The next memory was getting in wheelchair with gaze in my mouth. Thank you. I have been to Lice Oak for other friends and family who have the same memory. Unfortunately, because I was not given my tooth - I would have taken crumbs- the tooth fairy will not be visiting me tonight. Ladies are very helpful and cheerful everytime I see them. All his staff were very supportive and polite. I know there are other dentist but if you have not selected one consider Live Oak and the staff of Dr Gliddon.
