Dr. Loftus (T.J.) was above and beyond amazing with helping me after I woke up with the most excruciating pain I’ve ever been in with a fractured tooth that I had been putting off because of fearing dental work. They got me in the same morning that I called due to my emergency! He immediately made me feel more comfortable and took the pain away within minutes of me sitting in the chair and then removed the tooth in such a timely manner with fantastic bedside manners! Thank you so much!!!!! Highly recommend!

This was the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. Kendryn and Emmylu were AMAZING… fast, kind, professional and so flexible. I avoid the dentist at all costs, but I won’t avoid them… I might actually schedule my next cleaning so I CAN see them. Seriously wish I could give them a million stars. And Dr. TJ was so kind and welcoming. This is the only dental office I’ve ever recommended in my life. High praises.

Dr. TJ is the best and most efficient at implants and dental needs. He gets right to the problem and fixes it. He does it with style, precision and grace. I give him 100% satisfaction 10 rating. Thank you Dr. TJ. He is worth the drive from wherever you live

I needed a quick repair of broken dentures. After trying a different dentist and not liking the way they treated me I stopped in at Loftus in Sturgis. The people were super friendly, took the time to understand my needs, and offered viable solutions. I was back in the office two days later and the repair was completed that same day. Not only that but the original price I expected, which was very reasonable, dropped because what they expected to have to do changed. Everything about this interaction was a class act from start to finish. I recommend this location if you need dental care

Amazing place. Broke a tooth just a day and a half before a out of country, trip and they got me in (even though I’ve never been there )
and unbelievably were able to install a new crown as I waited Highly recommend Excellent staff and surgeons

Loftus Dental is a family-built, family-oriented dental practice with an office at 866 Lazelle Street in Sturgis, South Dakota, alongside a second location in Rapid City. Meet the Doctors
The Sturgis team page names two general dentists. Dr. T.J. Loftus, D.D.S., is the son of Dr. Ron Loftus and earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Liberty University before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Iowa. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the South Dakota Dental Association, the Black Hills District Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the International Association for Orthodontics. Dr. Jay Heeren, D.D.S., attended Black Hills State University and completed his dental training at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he made the Dean's List all four years, received awards for prosthodontic and operative dentistry, and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society.
