Dr. Nick Maskas is the best, and not just because he grew up in my hometown of DeRidder. His staff is helpful and courteous also.
I know of no other Practitioner that is so careful to be sure that you understand what to expect before and afterward. He also calls you personally the day of the procedure to be sure you are home and doing OK.
No surprises with the bill, they go through that ahead of time, and stick to their Word. I would highly recommend them.

I had my bottom two wisdom teeth taken out here yesterday. The office staff, nurses, and Dr. Maskas were all so very nice and professional. They all took the time to answer any questions I had from the first phone call I made scheduling a consultation, to the day of my surgery, and Dr. Maskas even called me yesterday evening to check up on me. I highly recommend them!
To all the staff, thank yall for being so kind! I have terrible dental anxiety and yall made the whole experience as great as it possibly could have been.

Dr Maskus was amazing. I was put to sleep and it was over in 30 minutes. He cut the bottom Tori bones and pulled 10 teeth. The staff was great. My recovery went very well. I would highly recommend using Louisiana oral and surgery.

I am a lifetime fan!!! Dr. Maskas is truly one of a kind. I was referred to him by my mother, who has always sung his praises, and now I understand why. Although we now live in the Baton Rouge area, we made the trip to have him surgically extract my daughter’s wisdom teeth, and I’m so glad we did.
From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. His entire team is kind, professional, and welcoming. Dr. Maskas’s bedside manner, surgical technique, and thorough aftercare are absolutely phenomenal. It’s the small things that make the biggest difference, and he goes above and beyond in every way.
If we ever need an oral surgeon again, we’ll gladly drive any distance to see him as it’s worth it for the level of care he provides. I’m beyond impressed and incredibly grateful. Highly, highly recommend!

Meet the Doctors
Dr. Nickolas S. Maskas, DDS, MD, is a native of DeRidder, Louisiana. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Louisiana Tech University, graduating summa cum laude, and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU School of Dentistry, graduating first in his class. He went on to earn a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed his surgical training in oral and maxillofacial surgery there, including experience in bone grafting, dental implants, and management of impacted teeth. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has practiced at Louisiana Oral Implant Surgery since 2019.
