Recently visited Hub City Dental (they are also outstanding) after for a chipped molar and during my visit, and they recommended an emergency referral to Lubbock Dental Specialists. I was practically delirious from the pain so when I arrived at Lubbock Dental Specialists, I could hardly tell which way was up. The pain coupled with my SEVERE dental anxiety had me on the edge of breaking down. From the moment I arrived, the front staff was patient, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. The technical staff was patient as well and incredibly efficient. XRays were quick as was the consult, yet everything was explained to me with such clarity that it helped ease my nerves. Dr. Ben Garagozloo, and technician Jackie, took care of my double root canal in a very compassionate way. Two days post-procedure and doing well. I am so very thankful for Lubbock Dental Specialists and recommend them time and again to anyone in need of care.

The front staff was great. Then I saw Dr. Nguyen and he and his assistant took care of me in a timely professional manner. I truly felt like they had my health and best interest in mind. Will not hesitate to take my family for their dental needs there in the future.

My name is Shaniah, I came here to evaluate with the ortho surgeon and endodontist. Such GREAT customer service and patient care from the beginning! I got my root canal done on my first visit with the endodontist and let me tell you how at ease I was during the procedure and how pleased I was after. His assistant…I forgot her name but she has highlights and a very beautiful personality. She made me feel so comfortable you can tell she loves what she is doing. What a great team yall have there!!!!! I got lots to work on so I’ll see yall soon

I had a positive experience with the oral surgeon and dental assistants themselves, which is why it is disappointing to be leaving this review. Unfortunately, my experience with the front office and billing has been less than stellar. At my initial consultation on February 2nd for wisdom tooth removal, my general dentist had already sent over my referral and X-rays. When I arrived, staff attempted to take additional X-rays, but I declined because mine had been completed only about a week earlier and had already been sent over. Dr. Nguyen reviewed and accepted those X-rays without issue. On the day of my surgery (March 13th), the dental assistant attempted to access my X-rays and discovered that the original X-rays had not been saved in the system. I was then asked to take new X-rays and was told I would not be charged for them since this was due to an office error. On June 1st, I received a bill for $167.79. I paid the $107.79 insurance balance without issue (I paid $662.57 day of and knew there could possibly be more to pay due to insurance reimbursement). However, I noticed an additional $60 charge dated February 2nd for X-rays that I never received. My husband called to dispute the charge and was met with an extremely rude response from the front office receptionist. Despite acknowledging there were no X-rays on file from February 2nd, we were told I still had to pay (there were no X-ray charges added for March 13 from the doctor to the billing statement only February 2nd). What was most concerning was being told that I “probably didn’t remember correctly because I was high on Valium.” Aside from the fact that my recollection is accurate, dismissing me in that manner felt incredibly unprofessional and inappropriate. I truly appreciated the care from the surgeon and clinical staff, but the billing confusion and front office interaction left such a negative impression that I would not feel comfortable recommending this office.

I came in for a root canal consultation, and from the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were lovely and helpful. Once I was taken back, the assistant was very caring and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The dentist took the time to show me my X-rays before and after, which I really appreciated. I was even able to have the root canal done the same day, and I felt no pain at all. The dentist did a phenomenal job. I’m very happy with the entire experience.
