My experience with Dr. Malmquist and team was exceptional. Starting with a very warm and friendly welcoming from Catherine and Chris, I felt I was in good hands. Dr. Malmquist and his assistants, Maya and Melissa, were equally friendly, empathetic and skilled. I had a very badly cracked tooth that needed to be pulled. Dr. Malmquist is thorough and attentive, making sure I was comfortable. He took care of my tooth and I experienced no pain during the procedure (it was so quick and gentle I didn't even realize he had finished!) and even the days following the procedure. The entire team is kind, friendly and excellent at the work they do. And the costs are very clearly laid out in the estimate. I highly recommend them!

I had TMJ surgery with Malmquist Oral Surgery, and I truly couldn’t be happier with my experience or the outcome. My recovery was surprisingly easy, and I honestly wish I’d done this years earlier. The relief has been incredible—I no longer have piercing ear pain almost every day, which has been such a huge quality-of-life improvement.
Dr. Mike Malmquist is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. What stood out most was how well he understood not only his own capabilities, but also what other surgeons in the area were and were not equipped to handle. That level of awareness and honesty inspired a lot of trust. He strikes the perfect balance between confidence and recognizing appropriate limitations—exactly what you want in a surgeon.
The entire team was professional, reassuring, and supportive throughout the process. I’m so grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Malmquist Oral Surgery to anyone struggling with TMJ issues.

I had a tooth removed today with mild sedation. I was shocked at how easy it was from start to finish. I am quite squemish about dental work but opted for the mild sedation instead of being put under. It was SOOOO easy and painless. Everything about this office is professional, clean, and beautiful. The staff are super friendly, especially Dr. Mike's assistant. They made me feel super comfortable at my prelim appt. and super comfortable during the procedure. I HIGHLY recommend working with this office for a positive, seamless and comfortable procedure. Thank you Dr. Mike and your whole staff for a great experience. And Go DUCKS! And Niners! :)

Dr. Malmquist did a fantastic job on my mother’s dental implant surgery. We spent months researching surgeons because not all are created equal. As a matter of fact, I believe 95% of people in their chosen profession are mediocre best. And the medical industry is full of “hacks”. Taking time to find the right provider is critical in my opinion.
Therefore, after a fair amount of due diligence, we decided to go with Dr. Malmquist in Portland, Oregon for my Mother’s surgery. From the initial consultation to the surgery, to the aftercare follow up, Dr. Malmquist and his entire staff were phenomenal. They were patient and answered all of our questions and concerns.
Now, my Mother has her self-esteem back due to a beautiful smile and that’s all thanks to him. I am eternally grateful for the care he showed my Mother and would recommend him to anyone looking for a highly educated and competent Oral Surgeon!

I can't express the love that I have already for this office. They have been so honest about everything and have came up with so many wonderful options to save my teeth when other just wanted to rip them all out. I'm so grateful to have found such a caring wonder team that is here to support me though all of my dental needs. Can't wait to share my journey.
