I saw Dr Ahn for a gum graft. He was very pleasant, explained the procedure in details, used sedation to overcome my intense gag reaction, and did a great job with the graft. Minimal discomfort afterward which was managed with Motrin. I just completed my 2 week follow up and will be back for a final check up in a month.

I couldn’t be more satisfied with both of my tooth implants done by Dr Ahn. The need for a second implant occurred when a tooth cracked, got infected and had to be pulled. I sought Dr. Ahn’s opinion as he had done my first implant years ago and that implant went great and feels like my own tooth. Dr Ahn was able to build bone in that area to secure the implant and I now have a beautiful crown over my implant. I am very happy not to have had a bridge put in as I feel it compromises the attached teeth and makes it harder to keep clean. I highly recommend Dr. Ahn as he is personable and informative and does great work.

I was referred to Dr Ahn because I had a pocket between my last molar and gum. Dr. Ahn assured me he is very conservative when it comes to extractions. But when he looked at the tooth and the xray he said the tooth would have to be extracted. He explained that extractions cost $2500.
He explained that once the tooth was extracted, it would be replaced by an implant. The total cost of the entire procedure would be $10K and would be completed over the course of several months. He acknowledged that there might be a significant amount of pain involved in the procedure.
Because the tooth had never bothered me, had no filling, no cavity and was not loose, I decided to get a second opinion. The new dentist looked at the xray and my tooth and said there was a pocket, but the gum was clean and healthy, and the tooth was solid. He did not recommend pulling it. If a problem arose in the future, he would look at it again. If necessary, he would extract it at a cost of $225. He also said most people don't replace the last molar with an implant because most people don't use the last molar to chew and would not miss it. It's been six months and my tooth remains healthy and solid. I will not be returning to Dr Ahn. Nor will I recommend him.

I got a bone graft and it was relatively painless. I recovered really quickly and they were very accommodating to my schedule. The doctors were nice.

One of the most important things in a doctor is trust and I trust Dr. Ahn completely. I’m older and my teeth are slowly giving me trouble and his solutions are truly genius. He does incredible work, he cares about his patients, oh, and did I mention? He’s nice too!
