About 9 months ago, on July 30, 2025, I underwent double jaw surgery with Dr. Carlos Guevara and Dr. Matuk, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I鈥檝e ever made for my health and quality of life.
This surgery was a major and emotional step for me, and naturally I was very nervous going into it. From my very first consultation, Dr. Guevara was incredibly attentive, patient, and informative. He took the time to explain every detail of the procedure, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and made me feel calm and confident throughout the entire process. His professionalism, compassion, and expertise immediately made me trust that I was in the best hands possible.
The first few weeks of recovery were definitely challenging, as expected with a surgery of this magnitude, but Dr. Guevara and his team were there for me every step of the way. He was always available if I needed reassurance, had questions, or needed support. Being able to reach him directly by text or call when needed gave me so much peace of mind during recovery.
His office staff is equally outstanding professional, kind, flexible, and always willing to help with scheduling changes, medication refills, follow-ups, and anything else I needed. They truly made such a difficult process feel manageable and supported.
Today, almost 9 months later, my life has changed completely. I breathe better, sleep better, and my overall quality of life has improved in ways I cannot fully put into words. My healing has been smooth, my results are beautiful, and I have no visible scarring. Dr. Guevara鈥檚 work is truly impeccable he is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but an artist.
What impressed me most is how collaborative and detail-oriented he is. He works closely with orthodontists and other specialists to ensure every part of treatment is coordinated perfectly. He is always on top of his cases and genuinely cares about each patient鈥檚 outcome.
If you are dealing with sleep apnea, jaw abnormalities, breathing issues, or considering orthognathic surgery, I cannot recommend Dr. Carlos Guevara enough. He is one of the very best surgeons in South Florida, with an impeccable reputation and extraordinary talent. Follow his instructions, trust the process, be patient with recovery, and you will be amazed by the results.

Dr Guevara and his amazing team deserves more than five stars! I mean it. I went to get four wisdom teeth pulled, and left with a life changing memory. From the office team, to the nurses, and surgery assistants. Everyone makes you feel at home. No of my questions felt like a dumb question. With such amazing levels of hospitality and professionalism, I felt at ease. The day of the surgery went so smooth, and truly felt quick. The recovery process was even more smooth. They kept in contact with me to make sure the healing process was going well. The care and attentiveness from the team, and Dr. Guevara truly changed my perspective of getting any dental surgery done. I highly recommend coming here for any dental surgery!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Carlo Guevara, M.D. and his entire team. From start to finish, my experience was beyond comfortable and seamless. Dr. Guevara performed a tooth extraction, bone graft, and implant for me just a week ago, and everything went so smoothly that I honestly couldn鈥檛 believe it.
When I returned for my follow-up yesterday, I was blown away again by how genuinely kind, caring, and professional the entire staff is. The atmosphere in the office strikes the perfect balance鈥攑rofessional yet welcoming, and even fun. Who would鈥檝e thought an oral procedure could feel like such a cakewalk (and actually kind of enjoyable)?
Dr. Carlo and his staff are truly amazing. If you鈥檙e looking for excellent care with a team that makes you feel completely at ease, this is the place.
