Getting my first dental implant was a new experience for me. Dr. Carter and his professional staff were very hospitable and knowledgeable and I felt comfortable and at ease under his care every step of the way, from the initial tooth extraction and molar bone graph under anesthesia all the way through the placement of the implant which I elected to do under local anesthetic which surprisingly was not uncomfortable. I also had Dr. Carter remove a mandibular tori for me which had been bothering me for years at the same time he did the molar tooth extraction. His office location is a spacious and beautifully decorated 4th floor office suite conveniently located in Kahului and his office staff is filled with wonderful happy people. Definitely a 5 star experience and I highly recommend Dr. Carter when you need an oral surgeon in Maui.

Maui Oral Surgery was my last stop in an ongoing referral for a tooth issue. Months prior, I had gone to my own dentist with a complaint. They said there was nothing wrong. Then I had an abscess on my gum. It took 3 weeks to be seen and my dentist could not see anything wrong. I was referred to the next dentist which took another 3 weeks to be seen! He took one look at my old X-rays and said I needed to go see one of the best dental specialist on the Island, Dr. Carter. I arrived at the office late in the day, and two days before leaving for a big international trip. Dr. Carter also looked at the old X-ray and said the tooth needed to be removed. He said it couldn’t be done that day. When I explained my upcoming departure and being in a remote country and in pain, he agreed to remove the tooth immediately. Apparently I had a really bad infection in my jaw that was apparent after removing the tooth. I am thankful to him and his staff for helping me that day and in such a professional manner. His staff was amazing. Everyone made me feel well cared for, and they made me feel special. While this was my last stop in an almost 5 month journey - I could not have landed in a better place. Thank you Dr. Carter for your care and compassion.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Carter and his team. My 14-year-old son needed all four wisdom teeth removed and was very nervous beforehand. Dr. Carter did an incredible job, and Gabriella along with the rest of the staff were so kind and supportive. They made the entire process comfortable for my son, and we were pleasantly surprised at how smooth the recovery was. He healed quickly with minimal pain, and the aftercare was simple and easy to follow. We are so grateful for the excellent care and highly recommend Dr. Carter and his team!

Broke BOTH front teeth surfing (that's on me) , so implants all around! Dr. Carter AND Staff were super professional. Explained every step clear and concise. Three visits and done. Could have not been easier experience. And as I said after my final visit, "I hope to never see you again!" (maybe on the beach) , if I needed to I would without hesitation.
