The new clinic is a joke and they do not prioritize their tribal members at all. I was told to go to same day clinic because they can't keep primary doctors AT ALL in primary care, and I drove here from eufaula, only to be turned away at 4 because they "stop taking patients at 3:30", after I was even referred to come over here with "they take patients until 4:30". I have been deathly sick and in need to be seen, and they turned me away, when the closest later clinic is over an hour away in talihaina. I would recommend going ANYWHERE else.

The pediatricians are wonderful as was the nurse we had, but the receptionist for pediatrics never answers the phone. I tried to call several times yesterday and left 2 messages with phone number but never received a call back. I tried again today twice to call and again got the recording so I left name and number again. Finally decided to just go in and see if could be seen. That is how we finally got in. Receptionist needs to do better.

I love my PCP, she is wonderful, everyone else is great too. I ordered glasses approx a month ago, the tech that processed my glasses was very cold and short with me. I thought she was just having a bad day. She kept saying my cost was way high, receptionist and optometrist couldn't understand what her notes said but she was nowhere to be found to clarify. Multiple times my diabetic voucher was not put in. After some time I went back to ask what to do if my frames hurt my head, replacement or what their procedure was. I am very appreciative of what Choctaw gives me dont get me wrong its the condescending attitude I got the whole time from this tech. I felt like I was a complete waist of her time. She never said anything rude but her deminor and body language was undeniable and she never said anything nice, with a smile or anything that made me feel welcome like everyone else does. Patients come to the clinic, whatever department, because they are sick and compasion should be number one on the list of how to treat people. I hope whatever is ailing her she can be helped with.

Told to call several days in advance. Showed up several days later and the pharmacy acts like I never called. Most of the time I still have to go back because they don't give everything I requested. This is a monthly occurence. Hard to communicate with people who don't want to communicate.

It's always hit or miss with the Choctaw clinics. It has been pretty difficult setting up an appointment in McCalester. I called for over and a month before I was able to get in. Just as an workplace some employees are nice and others are not. I spoke with someone in the Dental department, and she was rather rude. I get it truly, sometimes working sucks. I think many of the workers at the Choctaw clinics are overworked. Alas, that does not excuse rude behavior.
